Ch. 3

"A half-blood?" I knit my eyebrows and stare at Chiron. "Please. Explain."

Chiron clears his throat yet he didn't speak. Grover shifts nervously while looking out to the forest. I couldn't see why they weren't saying anything.

"Hello? I asked a question. Is ANYONE going to answer me?" I begin to scowl and growl a bit. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I see a boy's form in the shadows.

"Chiron. Grover. I'll take over from here." The boy walks towards the light. Grover yelps a bit and turns to the boy.

"You! You are one scary kid!" Grover chuckled softly and began to walk off. "If you need anything, Michelle. Just come find me." He waves and I watch him leave towards the forest. Chiron nods at the boy. He goes inside the Big House. The door closed behind him.

"Ok. Now are you going to answer my question?" I glare at the boy.

He looks into my eyes. I recognize them instantly so my eyes look down to one of his hands. A skull ring. "You... Who are you?"

"Nico di Angelo. Son of Hades. Your brother." He says with no emotion. "Now come with me. I have a few things to tell you." He walks down the steps. I follow him yet I don't know what he had just said. We walked around the cabins for a bit.

He had told me everything about Greek gods, and how one of them is my father. I didn't know which one it was, but he sure did. He was about to tell me when he sees something that completely freaked him out. "I'll be back soon." And with that he melted into a shadow.

The boy with the green eyes walked towards me. "Hello. You must be new here." He shakes my hand. "I'm Percy Jackson. Was that Nico I just saw?" I nod and I see a bit of pain in his face. "Well, if you see him. Tell him I need to talk to him."

I stare at the boy, Percy Jackson, for a while until we made eye contact.

His face got awkward. "Is there anything I can help you with?" He smiled awkwardly too. "There should be some activity you can do. Maybe archery? Who is your godly parent?" I look down at the shadow. Then I looked up at him and shrugged.

"Nico said he knew." I pointed to the shadow a bit dumbly. Percy didn't reply. Either he was stunned or trying to think. I wasn't good at reading people's expressions.

"Who's child are you?" The question snapped him out of it. He turned and gave me a sincere smile.

"Posideon." He pointed to the lake. "God of-"

"The sea." I finish his sentence.

Percy nods.

"Nico told me. He said you were the most powerful demigod ever. Is that true?" I look at him with no expression. Percy seemed to get red a bit.

"Y-yeah. I've heard I was. I beat Kronos and Gaia." He stretches and smiles, "No biggie." He laughs and I managed to chuckle a bit. This boy was weird. "Well lets hope you get claimed soon. How old are you?"

"Nico says I'm seventeen."

"Hmm.. Well you should have been claimed. Have you?"

I shrug. "I don't remember anything... Nico had to tell me. My name is Michelle Cardenas, according to Nico. And I'm seventeen."

Percy puts his hand on his chin and began to mumble. "He better not be up to something..."

"Up to what?" I ask Percy. He looks at me with no expression.

"You look younger than seventeen. I need to go. I have... Uhm, work to do." He walks off towards the cabins. I stood there and waited for Nico to come back. Nico didn't come back.
