Miranda's pov

So Jason has a wife and kids and a grandkid. Now what. "what do we do about your wife?" I ask. He shakes his head. "I told her the day I met her if by the slim chance you came back again, she'd have to get over it because you were the greatest thing that ever happened to me." He says. "so you're leaving her?" I gasp. He nods. "she understands, trust me. We've had 20 years to talk about it." He replies with a smile. I lean back, my head against his chest."damn you are still as handsome as you were 20 years ago with zombie guts on your boots." I mumble. "walkers." He states. I laugh. He kisses me. "I've been waiting 20 years to do that." He says.

Jason's pov

Anna runs in, seeing Miranda in my arms, she stops short. "is that her?" she asks. I nod. "OK, well the baby came. It was a girl." she says. I glance down at Miranda. "you can tell her she can pick a different name. I've got the original." I tell her. Miranda gives me a confused look. "we were going to name the baby after you but since you're back, we don't need to." I explain. We stand up. "hey Anna plan backup flashback." I say with another confused look from my girl. She nods solemnly and leaves. Of course the ring she gave me 20 years ago is still on my finger but soon it will be on hers. I take her to my house. "I've been waiting for a long time to say this, but will you marry me?" I ask. She stares at the ring in my hand. "the ring Daryl gave me! He'd always rag on me why I didn't have it but I never knew what happened to it." she whispers. "is that a yes or a no?" I ask. She looks up at me and nods. I 0ut it on her finger. "still fits." I gasp.

Miranda's pov

The apocalypse might have been a living hell but it brought me to my love and I couldn't be happier. His arms, I noticed, have become extremely muscley. We lay in his bed just like it used to be the way life was when we were in the apocalypse.

*the next day*

He takes me to a hall of fame. "oh my gosh, look everyone it is the hero of little Texas!" a man in overalls yells. I'm confused. "what are they talking about?" I ask. He chuckles. "go check out your exhibit, you'll find out why." He says, putting his hands in his pockets. I follow the arrows with people gawking at me. I find it and the memories rush back to me. The cdc, the pain, Dr. Jenner, Abraham, it all comes back to me. I read the inscription under the statue. Just then, a hand is on my back. "hey, this this is amazing!" I gasp. He smiles. "I had it put together after you died. Do you remember that day?"he asks." vaguely. I remember intense pain and fighting back the hunger. I knew what it meant. I was going to become one. "I whisper, lost in the memory." you didn't come back. "He says. I stare at him wondering how that's possible. He sees me staring." as a walker I mean. "He clarifies." why not!? "I cry. He smiles and shrugs." I held you in my arms until you died then I stayed that way for days waiting for you to turn but you never did."he says, shrugging again. He grabs my hands and kisses me in the museum about me. He pushes me against the glass, still kissing me. "how long did you have to wait?" I ask between kisses. It takes him awhile because he doesn't want to stop kissing me. "20 long years but it was worth it, every second, every minute that went by I knew they were closer to figuring out a way to bring you back." He finally gets out. I wish he didn't have to leave Anna for me. I feel bad. But his kisses and his love push away the bad feelings. This world is different from the way mine was and I have a lot to learn.
