Jason's pov

We have to do something, the people are starving. I just don't know what to do. "what should we do? I really don't want to leave her." I mutter. She still sits on the floor against the wall. "by the way, Glenn you're not a Butler anymore." he smirks. I stare out the window. "so you're president again?" she asks. I look back at her, surprised. I nod sadly. "somebody's got to lead this makeshift town." I say. She cries silently. "hey cheryl, get ahold of the North safe zone, I need to talk to Abe." I call to MY secretary. "right away, sir." she replies, handing me a phone. We got phones reestablished not too long ago. "hey, Abe we got a problem down here." I say. "what did I tell ya about calling me Abe?" He grumbles. "nice to hear from you too man." I mutter sarcastically.

Miranda's pov

I have to get up. I can't keep this up. I slowly stand up, bringing a smile to Jason's face. I roll my eyes and go to the bathroom.

Jason's pov

Cheryl says we should rebuild mental help facilities. "are you suggesting that she's crazy?" I gripe, trying not to get mad. "no! Well maybe." she mumbles. I sigh and glance at the bathroom door. Maybe she's right. I knock on the door. "hey hun ya wanna go up north with me?" I ask. "sure, why not?" she calls. I start getting packed for the trip up north. Someone's hands rest on my shoulders. I turn around and it's Miranda. She hugs me tightly. I hug her back. "I'm sorry for the past week." she says. "don't be, you were freaked out." I reply. "everyone was so worried." she cries. I laugh. "everyone was worried when the dead walked the earth but ya didn't hear them apologizing." I joke making her laugh. "well, you ready to see Abraham?" I ask. She smiles and nods. "I'm glad you two aren't at each other's throats anymore." she mutters. I sigh and glare at the ground. "nope that was me and Merle." I gripe. Her arms tense up. "it's okay, I took care of him." I say. "what'd you do?" she asks. I don't know if I should tell her or not. "whatever he got, he deserved way worse." she whispers. I put my suitcase in my truck and he's still laying on the ground. She screams when she sees it. "ew, that's disgusting!" she gasps. "Revenge is sweet darlin'." I reply, slipping my hat on my head and my arm around her. She smiles. "I'm glad. But I wish someone would clean him up." she mutters. She gets in the truck as I stare at his body a few seconds longer. "come on! We've got a long drive." she calls. I get in the truck. "glad to see ya back to your normal self." I say. She nods. "what if his body reanimates?" she asks. I point to the snipers on the roof. She smiles and we begin the long drive up north.

*several hours later*

Miranda's pov

A hand grabs my arm making me scream. "honey, wake up! You're dreaming." Jason shouts. I wake up but the hand is still on my arm. "does this look like a dream?" I grumble. He laughs. "that's my hand!" He says. "oh. I'm a little out of it, I guess." I mutter embarrassed, my cheeks red. "are we there yet?" I hear keely ask from the back. We both scream this time. "it looks like we have a little stowaway!" Jason says. "we better text Glenn. He's probably looking all over for you." I say. Jason nods in agreement. "we're too far along to drop you back off." I say annoyed. "hey, babe, it's okay. I've got my two favorite girls and there's nothing up north that'll hurt her." Jason says putting his arm around me. I smile and kiss his cheek. "fine but don't do it again. I am still really jumpy." I grumble, irritated with my five year old. He shrugs and continued driving.
