Miranda's pov

We finally make it. "oh ya brought the whole family, redneck." Abe says. Jason rolls his eyes with a smile on his face. "actually the little one snuck in without us realizing." He replies. "took care of Merle?" Abe asks. He nods. "glad to do it too." He mutters. I sigh. "we've got the food covered." Abe tells us. He gives us several baskets full of non-perishable food. We load it all in the truck. "oh and Jason we've got an even bigger problem." Abe says, making me curious. "stay here." Jason says, kissing my cheek. He walks off with Abraham.

Jason's pov

He takes me to a lab where a girl of about 17 sits tied down, screaming and begging for them to let her go. "what's going on?" I gasp, confused. "mellissa calm down." Abe orders. She stops thrashing but is still crying when I see a bite mark on her neck. "damn. Where'd this happen? Did you take the walker out?" I ask. "of course we did but I'm just thinking if there's one there's got to be more." Abraham says. Mellissa looks up. "what's going to happen to me?" she whimpers. "sweet heart, you're dying. Ya can't get out of it unless ya cut it off but it's on your neck. Ya can't cut that off." I explain. She narrows her eyes. "I'm 17 not 5." she snaps. I sigh and cock my shotgun. Her eyes fill with fear. "no dad!? Don't let him kill me!" she begs. "dad?" I gape turning back to Abraham. He stares at the floor and nods. "I do know how you feel. I lost my girls when it first happened." I say. He nods. "just get it over with man." He says, choking back tears. My poor girl walks in and sees me blow that kid's head off. Abraham sobs which is something I've never seen before. "what? Why?" Miranda stumbles for words. "she was infected." I say. "no it can't be. We got rid of that." she whispers backing out of the room. I hug her tightly. "it's okay, it's over there's no more." I soothe, the shotgun slips from my hands I wrap my arms tightly around her, my hands resting on her shoulder blades. "I'm sorry you had to see that." I say. She nods and just sobs on my shoulder.

Sorry it's so short. It's like 2 in the morning and I can keep my eyes open.
