Jason's pov

I know just what to do to cheer her up. "I'm going to take her to the farm we lived on during the apocalypse. We are driving there. "where are we going?" she asks. "it's a surprise." I reply. We're getting into the slums of little Texas, the places that we didn't fix up after the apocalypse. "the walkers ravaged the land." she whispers. I sigh and nod. I stare down at her and I know she's upset. She just killed Daryl! The truck hits something. I quickly look back at the road. A man lays on the ground. "oh crap! I just hit someone!" I shout, getting out of the truck and running to him. "sir are you - oh my God, no it can't be happening again!" I shout backing up.

Miranda's pov

I get out. "Jason, what's wrong?" I ask. He looks up at me, pure terror in his beautiful emerald eyes. "just get in the truck." He says, his voice wavering. The man gets up after being hit by a truck. I scream when I realize what is going on. "we must've missed a few." He says, trying to calm me down. I back away slowly when I feel hands on my shoulders. I'm too scared to turn around. "BEHIND YOU!" Jason cries. I drop and roll away as the walker clamps it's hands on my arm. I see Daryl behind the truck and he shoots the walker with his crossbow. He vanishes as the monster hits the ground. The arrow disappears. Jason stomps the other walker's head in. I run to him crying as he holds me. "it better not be happening again." He says. We get back in the truck heading for our destination but keeping our eyes peeled. "how'd you kill that walker? You didn't have a weapon." He says. "I - I didn't kill it." I whimper. "then who did?" He asks. I look up at him. "Daryl killed it and saved me!" I gasp, crying in my hands.

Jason's pov

But that's impossible! Daryl is dead! We reach the farm and instantly her expression changes from sadness to absolute happiness, making me smile. "I had it kept the way it was for 20 years, waiting for you to return." I say. She looks up at me and hugs me tightly. "this will always be my favorite place in the country." she whispers. "let's go inside." I say. She kisses me, jumps out of the car, and runs for the door. She flings open the door excited. I pocket the keys and step out when I hear a scream. "what the?" I gasp, looking up. A walker stands over her. "whoa!" I run over with my pistol drawn. She cowers in the corner of the porch. "did it bite you?" I ask, running over to her. She holds her arm and it's bleeding. I back up. She's been bit. I find an axe. The same one Eugene held over my head 23 years ago. I chop her arm off and she screams louder than when we were at the cdc. I take her inside and lay her on the dusty couch. I bandage her shoulder. "you won't turn." I whisper. "damn, my shoulder hurts." she whimpers, "and I can't turn. Not now! Jason I haven't even gotten to tell you..." but her voice fades. "tell me what?" I ask. She grabs my hand and puts it to her stomach. Oh my God. I know what she's trying to say. She's trying to say she's pregnant. "are you pregnant?" I ask. She nods. Her hand falls to her side and she falls unconscious.
