It was a pleasant day. Kyle went out to search his brother George, who went out morning but didn't return. He looked for George in his town but couldn't find him anywhere in his town. His mother was too worried about him. Kyle didn't want to see his mother cry. He calmed her down.

Kyle: He might be in the forest. I will go look for him there. Don't cry mom.

As walked into the thick woods a voice called out. He turned back to see his neighbour. He stops Kyle and asks him if Kyle owns a Pokemon.

Kyle: No, I don't have a Pokemon. Is anything wrong?

The man says it is not safe to go to the forest without a Pokemon as there can be wild Pokémon which can attack him. The man takes him to Professor Birch. The lab is not large as he expected. All he wanted was a Pokémon, so he didn't mind about the place much.

Professor Birch: I am Professor Birch. It seems like you have come here to get a Pokémon of your own. All right! Go ahead and choose the Pokémon you like.

He has three choices - Treecko(Grass-type), Mudkip(Water-type), Torchic(Fire-type). He looked at all of the Pokémon. He liked the Treecko, so he decides to go with it. Along with his first Pokémon he also got a Pokédex and a few poke balls.

He left out to the forest to find his brother George. The forest had a thick canopy and it was dark as it was getting late. He hears a Pokémon's howl. He rushes to the place to find his brother George. He gets relieved to see him.

But his brother is in trouble. A Poochyena is attacking his brother. George has fallen to the ground and his leg is injured. The basket he carried falls from his hand. Kyle sends out his Treecko.

Hearing the noise of the Pokémon come out of the poke ball, the Poochyena turns back to see Treecko.

Kyle: Treecko, use pound.

It is his first Pokémon battle but he has watched other's battle with their Pokémon. Treecko runs towards its enemy. It pounds the Poochyena with its tail. The Poochyena growls and jumps on Treecko. Treecko dodges the attack. Kyle calls out to use pound again. Treecko fiercefully pounds Poochyena with its foreleg.

Poochyena drops down. Kyle calls out to use pound again. The Poochyena wakes up on all of a sudden and makes its attack on Treecko.

Treecko is bit terribly by the Pokémon's fangs. Kyle thinks of some other way to end the battle soon. He tries to throw a poke ball at Poochyena. Kyle catches the Poochyena and now it is added to his team.

Kyle picks up the poke ball and puts it on his belt. Kyle gives a hand to his fallen brother. George holds his hand and gets up. He thanks Kyle for saving him from the Pokémon's attack.

George: Thank you!

Kyle: What were you doing here? Me and mother were worried about you.

George: I should have informed you before I set out for the berry hunt.

Kyle: You came alone?

George: I came with my friends but we got separated. I was looking for them in the forest but I got lost.

Kyle: Be careful next time. Don't go without me next time. You are not too old enough to go to the forest.

George: Why had you say that?

Kyle: You don't have a Pokémon.

George: Yeah! I wanted to ask you this, where did you get that gecko Pokémon?

Kyle: I will tell you on the way home.

The brothers leave the forest to go back home. George holds Kyle's hand for a support to walk as his leg is injured badly. His mother hugs him the moment she sees him.

Kyle's Mom: Where were you? I was too worried about you. Your leg is hurt!

George: I will not go anywhere without informing you mom! I am sorry!

Kyle's Mom: It is okay! Now you need rest! Come inside and I will get you something to eat.

Kyle is happy to see his brother join his mother. After his first battle he decides to learn more about Pokémon. He contemplates about how to learn more about Pokémon. He has never dreamt of exploring the Pokémon world. He has come to a conclusion to go on a journey to learn more about Pokémon and meet new trainers and battle them.
