Kyle, Thomas, Mike, Axel and Matty enter the room where Jack is. Jack looked perfect now. He is ready to go home.

Matty: You may not know me, but I know you, Jack.

Jack startles. He has never known Matty before.

Jack: May I know what your name is?

Matty: The name's Matty. You will have to answer for having worked for Team Rocket.

Jack: I feel bad for having worked with them. I realize that Giovanni was wrong about Ho-Oh. It saved me after all I did to it.

Matty: It's good to know that you've realized your mistake.

Matty turns to see Kyle with a smile.

Matty: You've done it.

With this, he went to the doctor, leaving the boys alone.

Kyle: I am glad you finally realized that Team Rocket is not a good organization.

Jack: Kyle, thank you. I wouldn't have been alive if you hadn't rescued me.

Kyle: I didn't do it alone. Axel came up with the idea of a 'fire vacuum' that helped to make way for me to enter the cabin.

Jack: If these things hadn't happened, I would have been in the Whirl Islands looking for Lugia.

Mike: Lugia? Were you going to the Whirl Islands?

Jack: We were going there because Giovanni told us that Lugia is wild too. I feel bad for having listened to him.

After a quick introduction, the doctor enters the room. He says that Jack could go home now. Jack, Kyle and Thomas go to Reynolds' residence while Matty and Axel go with Matty somewhere. Jack knocks at the door. Kyle and Thomas stand beside him. Reynolds opens the door.

Reynolds: Jack! And also you! What a delight to see you, Jack!

Jack: Hi, grandpa! Morning!

Reynolds: Where were you, child? What have you been doing?

Jack: Why don't we talk in detail after I come in? I am tired from walking.

Reynolds: Come in, son and also you two.

They enter Reynolds' abode and take a seat on a coach. They talk to Reynolds for a while about Jack's new Pokemon and his desire to start his journey. After a soothing tea, Kyle and Thomas leave Reynolds' abode and meet Matty by the Pokemon Center in Goldenrod City.

Matty: Nice work, boys. It is good to see you both together now.

Kyle and Thomas look at Matty, puzzled. How did he know about their conflict?

Matty: There's no need to be surprised. Axel told me about your fight. Here's some reward for your completion of the task.

Matty takes out a Dawn Stone and gives it to Kyle.

Matty: This is a Dawn Stone. It can help evolve your Ralts into a Gallade in the future.

Kyle: Thanks, Matty.

Matty: This is for you, Thomas.

Matty gives a pendant to Thomas.

Matty: This is Mystic Water. Give this to your Mudkip. Mystic Water will increase the power of your Mudkip's water-type moves.

Thomas: Thanks, Matty. Your reward will help me to train my Mudkip better.

Matty: I am glad that you both liked it. This is for you both.

Matty hands out two ship tickets to Kyle and Thomas. Kyle and Thomas look at it for a while before getting it.

Thomas: Our mission comes to an end here, huh?

Matty: Not really. I will call you when I need your assistance. Bye, for now. It is time for you to go to the dock.

Thomas and Kyle wave bye to Matty and get into the ship without wasting time. The vessel soon pulls away from the dock.
Kyle and Thomas hold the rail. They are mesmerized by the beauty of the sea as they travel back to Hoenn. Once they get down on Hoenn, they know it's time to meet their family and friends.

Thomas: We're home.

Kyle: It's time for a bye, Thomas. Don't keep in mind about what happened between us in Johto.

Thomas: I wouldn't. Where will you go?

Kyle: My home, of course. You must be heading home, too.

Thomas: I am not sure of that. I will have to think about it for now. This adventure taught me a lot.

Kyle: Taught you what?

Thomas: About trust and love. I get both from my family. Yes! I am going home!

Kyle: Do you think we'll meet again?

Thomas: We'll meet, Kyle.

They both shake hands and depart to their respective homes.
