Voyage To Johto

Kyle and Thomas meet Matty the next day. Matty had been waiting in the cottage waiting room. Matty welcomes Kyle and Thomas. Matty gives away two luxury cruise tickets to each to travel to Johto. Kyle and Thomas jump for joy. They thank Matty, pack their things and reach the port in Dewford Town. Kyle and Thomas boarded the ship, eager to start their adventure in Johto. As they settled in their cabins, they couldn't help but marvel at the opulence around them. The grandeur of the ship enhanced the anticipation of what lay ahead. The following morning, the ship docked in Goldenrod City. As they moved further into the bustling city, two trainers approached them. The trainers introduced themselves as Jon and Kate. Without wasting any time, Jon challenged Kyle to a heated battle. Kyle sends out his Treecko. Jon sends out Gligar. Kyle consults his trusty Pokedex to check Gligar.

"Gligar: FlyScorpion Pokemon, ground type. It usually clings to cliffs. When it spots its prey, it spreads its wings and glides down to attack."

Treecko uses bullet seed but misses the attack. Gligar uses poison sting. Gligar points the stinger at Treecko and fires multiple poison darts at Treecko. Treecko gets hit. Treecko uses bullet seed again. Treecko spits seeds at Gligar. Gligar uses slash and slashes Treecko. Treecko uses its next move-pound. Treecko pounds Gligar with its tail. Kyle calls out to use bullet seed. Gligar dodges the attack with ease. Gligar uses poison sting. Treecko observes Gligar's movements and dodges the poison darts. Treecko uses pound again. Treecko hops and pounds Gligar with its tail. Gligar keeps gliding and waits for Jon to tell its next move. Jon calls out to use an X-scissor. Gligar fires an X-shaped mass of energy on Treecko. Treecko gets hurt and knocked down. Treecko tries to relieve the pain caused by the X-scissor. Before Treecko could stand, Gligar launched its next move by using an X-scissor again. Treecko gets hit by a mass of energy. The battle rages on, with Treecko evolving to Grovyle mid-battle. Gligar is astonished by Treecko's new form. Kyle marvels at his evolved Pokemon. He checks his Pokedex for more information about Grovyle. Grovyle makes its first move as Kyle calls out to use a rapid pound. Grovyle launches a leaf blade instead of a pound. Kyle likes the newly learned move of Grovyle. Grovyle's three leaves in its forearm combine into a long blade. Grovyle slashes Gligar with its blade. Gligar drops to the ground and faints.

Meanwhile, Thomas engages himself in a fierce battle with Kate. Kate's Farfetch'd uses cut and slices air with its leek, slashing Tailow. Tailow drops to the ground. With determination in its eyes, it evolves into Swellow. Swellow spreads its wings and soars in the sky. Thomas is glad to see his tiny Tailow as Swellow. Swellow uses wing attack. Swellow slashes Farfetch'd with one of its wings. Farfetch'd couldn't bear the hit of the strong bird and faints. Thomas shakes hands with Kate and joins with Kyle. The crowd gathered to see their battles get back into their routine.

Kyle: I just got my Treecko evolved into Grovyle. You should have seen my battle.

Thomas: I was busy fighting Kate's Farfetch'd.

Kyle consults his Pokedex to learn about Farfetch'd.

Thomas: My Tailow evolved to Swellow. Now, Tailow is no longer the tiny bird you knew.

Kyle: That's cool. We both had a tough battle indeed.

Kyle checks his Pokedex to learn about Swellow. 

Kyle: Where are we going next? 

Thomas: I am not sure. I think we have to go to the Pokemon Center. What do you say?

Kyle: Yeah, let's go!

Kyle and Thomas step into the city, looking for its Pokemon Center. They get their Pokemon healed. Kyle calls Matty using the booth in the Pokemon Center. Matty doesn't pick up the call. Kyle and Thomas decide to go outside the city, into the woods for new Pokemon. As they venture into Ilex Forest, they explore new Pokemon of different types. A blast of wind passes through them. They feel the presence of a being other than them. A dark figure gets past Thomas, leaving an orb in his arms.

Kyle: Why have you got an orb?

Thomas: Wait, what did you say?

Thomas looks at the orb in his arms. Thomas is puzzled. Thomas looks around to see a shadow among the bushes. As he rushes towards the shadow, the shadow disappears. The orb leaves them both confused. They wonder at the orb, unaware of what fate has for them. Two more people appear in the forest. They seem no good people.
