Kyle's Journey

After the reunion, they all gather around the dining table. Kyle's mother makes their favourite pancakes. George grabs a knife and cut off a small bite and lifts it with his fork and brings it to his mouth to eat.

George: This is delicious! I like your pancakes, they are the best!

Kyle: Yeah you are right!

Kyle takes a mouthful bite of pancake and swallows them all at once. His mother asks him to eat patiently. Kyle asks his mother about her opinion on him having a pokemon.

Kyle: Did you like my Treecko?

Kyle's Mom: Your Treecko is nice. What are you gonna do with your Treecko?

Kyle: I think I can go on a journey now. What do you say?

Kyle's Mom: A journey? Are you sure? I don't think it is a good idea. What if something happens to you, Kyle?

Kyle: I have a map to navigate places, mom. Nothing will happen to me as long as Treecko is with me. We will be good companions.

Kyle's Mom: Treecko won't be able to save you all the time. What if you come across a strong pokemon and Treecko cannot fight it? Won't that pokemon harm you?

Kyle: I will catch the pokemon. In this journey, I can learn more about pokemon.

George: Well, if you go on a journey can you give me your poochyena? I liked it.

Kyle: Wasn't it the pokemon that hurt you?

George: I can train it and get close to it. In the future, I may become a great trainer with my poochyena.

Kyle's Mom: I can't let you out on a journey. I am afraid that you may get lost.

Kyle: I told you I have a map, mom. If I stay here at home, my Treecko won't get stronger. I want to see its potential.

Kyle's Mom starts to think of it. Kyle rises from the chair and goes to his room. He switches on the television in his room. He watches his favourite pokemon quiz show on the television. Someone opens the door of his room and enters the room. Kyle looks at his mom.

Kyle's Mom: Kyle, I think it's time for you to go on a journey of your own. Maybe you can become a great trainer. I was too worried that you may never return as your father did. You know that your father was a pokemon trainer.

Kyle: I know mom and I assure you that I'd visit you whenever I could. Are you happy?

Kyle's mother smiles and allows him to go on his journey. Kyle jumps for joy! His mother leaves the room. Kyle packs his stuff in his bag and goes to a shop at night to buy clothes. Kyle's mother talks to George while Kyle is out to buy clothes.

Kyle's Mom: I think your brother is excited about tomorrow.

George: Yeah! I saw his battle with the poochyena. It was amazing.

Kyle's Mom: Do you too wish to go?

George: Not now! I have to grow. I wasn't able to run from pokemon and I am not good at pokemon battles.

Kyle's Mom: Your father was a trainer too. He took a journey in Sinnoh and the neighbouring regions. He promised me that he'd return but he never did. I received calls from him at times but he stopped it some years ago. Since then I've never seen him or heard him.

George: When I start my journey I will find him, Mom.

Kyle's Mom: I am sure you will do it, honey.

Kyle opens the door and enters the home. He has bought new clothes to wear on his journey.

Kyle's Mom: Seems like you're happy, Kyle!

Kyle: Yeah mom! I am waiting for tomorrow! I will become a great trainer. I will meet new trainers and challenge them. I will win many battles on this journey.

The next day, Kyle wakes up earlier and gets ready to start his journey. His mother and his brother bid him farewell. He gives his poochyena to George as he wished for it. George names the poochyena as Mindcatcher.

Kyle: Mindcatcher?

George: Yeah because it drew my attention!

Kyle bids farewell and sets on his journey. He opens the map and navigates to Oldale Town. On the way he meets a trainer. He introduces him to the trainer.

Kyle: Hi! I am Kyle. May I know your name?

Thomas: Oh! My name is Thomas. It's nice to see you.

Kyle: Can we have a Pokémon battle?

Thomas: You look like you are interested to battle. Well, I am interested too! I accept your challenge!
