Revealing The Truth

Thomas looks questioningly at Axel.

Axel: Fine! I sent my Sneasel in the middle of a chase with Team Rocket to deliver the orb. Where are you going right now?

Thomas: I quit the mission, Axel.

Axel: What? Why do you have to quit?

Thomas: I do not know.

Axel: You don't have any valid reason to quit, do you?

Thomas: It's because it's not my duty.

Axel: Do you worry about the prophecy?

Thomas: What prophecy?

Axel: The ancient prophecy about the chosen one. I heard it from a man I know. You are the chosen one. Don't stay back, Thomas.

Thomas endeavors to say something but stops. He contemplates if he can trust Axel. He believed he could stop Team Rocket. After parting ways with Kyle, he doesn't want to continue the mission. Kyle and Mike make it to the secret hideout of Team Rocket. Several Team Rocket grunts, stand guarding.

Kyle: There are too many of them.

Mike: We must distract them. Could your Houndoom handle a smoke screen?

Kyle nods. He sends out his Houndoom to cast a smoke screen. Houndoom roars and unleashes a thick cloud of black smoke, enveloping the area in temporary darkness. Kyle and Mike seize the opportunity and sprint towards the source of a faint voice, which Kyle recognizes: Jack. As they burst into a dimly lit cabin, they see Jack staring at a map with a red dot marked on it.

Kyle: Jack!

Jack turns to see Mike, Kyle and the Houndoom.

Jack: What are you doing here?

Kyle: Don't be deceived by Giovanni. He's not a good man. He is using you for his gain.

Jack: I am not any fool to not realize Giovanni's true motives. It's fascinating that you've come this far to Reveal Giovanni's true colors.

Kyle: Do you say that you know Giovanni was not a good guy since you joined him?

Jack: He might be a bad guy to you, but not to me. He is trying to help people. None sees the other dimensions of Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh always loved to destroy people's harmony. Giovanni helped me realize that Ho-Oh is not a symbol of peace but destruction.

Mike: He had told you a lie. Do not trust him, Jack.

Jack: I do not have to trust the words of a stranger.

Kyle: You are failing your grandfather, Jack. He wouldn't want to know this.

Jack is astonished.

Jack: Do you know my grandfather?

Kyle: He is a good man. He is more close to you than Giovanni. Trust your grandfather and not Giovanni.

Jack clenches his fist.

Jack: I will let my grandpa know Ho-Oh is not something he believes someday.

Some grunts enter the cabin.

RocketGrunt3: These kids must be the intruders.

RocketGrunt1: Don't let them escape.

The grunts hold Mike and Kyle. Houndoom barks at the grunts.

RocketGrunt2: Shut up!

Houndoom lets out a fiery breath, burning the cabin and getting enough time for Mike and Kyle to escape.

Kyle: Thanks, Houndoom.

The trio burst out of the cabin. Many grunts wait for them out in the wild.

Kyle: We have to fight.

Mike: You are right.

Mike sends out his Piginite as a grunt chooses Koffing. Piginite rolls into Koffing, knocking it out. Another grunt sends an Ariados. Houndoom uses Flamethrower. It lets out a fiery breath, knocking out Ariados.

RocketGrunt4: These kids have trained their Pokemon very well.

Three grunts rush out of the cabin. The fire caused by Houndoom spreads rapidly! The cabin is on fire! The fire spreads to nearby bushes. The grunts run to save their lives.

Mike: Jack is in the cabin. He could be trapped!

Kyle: We will have to save him. What do we do, Mike?

Mike: If we don't quench the fire, it will spread through the forest. We need a water-type Pokemon. Have you got one?

Kyle: No, what about you?

Mike: Me neither! We have to hurry up.

Suddenly, a stream of water shoots out from the bushes, extinguishing the fire. Kyle and Mike swing around to see Thomas, Mudkip and Axel emerging from the bushes.

Axel: Need any help, trainers?

Mike: You have come at the right time.

Kyle: Thomas? I thought you quit the mission.

Thomas: We began the mission together. We have to finish it together as well.

Kyle: Thanks for coming.
