Courkong Proposal

A/N: Basically, how I imagine this proposal going, inspired by audios I heard on TikTok. Can be interpreted with any version of Wukong and any version of this ship you'd prefer.

  Wukong had been meaning to ask his partner a very specific question despite how long the two had been together by this point. He decided to wait until they were alone so maybe that would ease any and all hesitation. They managed to get away from everyone else and alone outside.

  "Courtney.. There's a question I've been meaning to ask you." Wukong starts off with, to break the silence. "Alright.. As long as it's not 'Will you marry me?'" She almost immediately responded with. 

  Well, now Wukong was even more hesitant to ask now. In Courtney's defense, she didn't feel as though she deserved to be asked such a question by him, as he was a Great Sage and she was just a human, so why get her hopes up? Though, the silence after her response made her realize..

  "Oh Gods.. It IS 'Will you marry me?'!" She exclaimed, almost louder than she anticipated. In an almost joking tone, as if to lighten the mood, "Well, I'm not gonna say it now, you spoiled the moment." 

   "Is it 'Will you marry me?'" Courtney asked, sounding desperate for a yes. "Courtney, the moment's gone. Wukong replied, not giving her the answer she wanted. She began to stammer over her words, wanting to fix this, "No, no- NO. Wait! WAIT." 

"Courtney.."

  Courtney seemed to be making her way back inside, "Start again!"

"No.."

"Start again!" She exclaimed, closing the door behind her. Wukong tried reaching out to her as if to stop her, "No, no! I'm not gonna just-", But she was already inside. But as quickly as she walked in, she walked back out.

  "We've just," She started, coming back out and closing the door behind her, "Stepped out here onto the balcony for some privacy! And you say, 'I've got a question to ask you.' And I don't say anything!" She looked back up at Wukong, flustered as to what was to come, "And you say.." 

  Wukong smiled a bit at her stubbornness about this and could tell by the look in her eyes and the look on her face she really did want him to ask her. He slowly got down on one knee in front of her, taking her hand in his, "Courtney Long, will you marry me?"

  She couldn't put into words how happy she was, and as her way of saying yes, she nearly tackles him into a hug, crying tears of joy.
