Letitia's POV.
After. (Play song.)"Clear!" The doctors tried the defibrillators once more. Dr.Asia looked at me sympathetically as I covered my mouth. Time froze for a second. You know how when you get on a roller coaster and you go up and up not knowing when it's going to drop. The sounds around me went dead as a ringing filled my ears. It was a moment of pure silence and it was excruciating. My body trembled watching the love of my life lay lifeless on the bed. Her fingernails already a pail color and her lips loosing its life.
That's where everything is currently until I finally got my breath back. "No no, don't you DARE give up on me. Please!" I grabbed my wife's hands with urgency. Frantically placing kisses all over her face to see if there's anything I could do. My in denial mind try to see if she was just sleeping. My body couldn't stand any longer causing me to drop to my knees. "Damn it , Cinnamon DONT LEAVE ME!"My lip's shrieked out in treacherous pain.
I grabbed her hand as she closed her eyes. Softly I pulled her closer to me, taking her In to my embrace. She wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me tight. "I miss you so much." She whispered.
My whimpers and screams bounced off of the walls as each second that passed got more painful.
I now pronounce you, married. You may kiss your bride. Letitia clapped her hands once then wooed pulling Cinnamon close causing her to giggle. Their lips crashed onto each other passionately as everyone clapped and cheered. It was official. They are now married. "I love you Mrs.Wright." Letitia whispered on her lips. "I love you more,My wife."
Her voice wouldn't stop playing over and over in my mind.
"Hey, look at me. Breathe." She cuffed my face looking into my melancholy eyes.
The death of someone you love is always so curious. We know that life here is limited but her time ended too damn soon. Even if you know what's coming, you'll never be prepared for how it feels. I felt myself slipping.
"This room is full of loud conversations and music but you simply being here is the loudest most beautiful thing I've ever heard." I placed a kiss on her ear and went back to the conversation with Courtney.
I heard the door open as Journey and Courtney walked in. She stopped on her tracks and held her stomach. Her body slightly jerking in shock. "Cinnamon?" She whispered as she watched her shaking her head. Journey walked over to her and placed a hand on her cheek. Tears dropping on the white hospital sheets as she sobs silently. "You always said a life for a life.. I just never thought it would be yours." Journey said while her voice trembled. Courtney walked up to me and embraced me in her arms."Bury your dead , mourn your loss." She whispered softly as I gripped her shirt letting my tears fall on her back. All I could do was plead. Plead for god to take away this painful feeling in my chest. I've lost everything. My brother..my wife.

I was walking to the baby unit until I was stopped by Dr.Asia. "Mrs.Wright." She said to me as my eyes were to the floor. "I am so sorry for your loss. But I want you to know that if you need anything rather it be a babysitter or a friend.. I'm here for you." I nodded then walked away stuffing my hands in my pockets. How to fuck am I going to do this? Take care of a child when I feel like I can't even take care of myself? Be responsible for another life when I feel like mine is falling apart? I don't know what to do.
I finally made it to where my son was as I looked at him through the glass as tears filled my eyes. "He looks just like her." A voice said beside me as I nodded. Danai. "Those big beautiful eyes. Somebody is gonna learn how to be a person by watching me." I processed out loud.
"You might not know what to do or how to process this. But when we loose someone we don't learn how to live without them but learn to live with the love they left behind. The world.. the world has taken too much from you but don't let it take away this." Danai pointed to my heart as I furrowed my eyes looking at her.
"I just lost the last person that truly knew me. My heart will be buried with her." I lowly said looking away.
