Holy Shit You're Alive

Sylvia walked out of the theatre already regretting her decision but keeps at it. Climbing on top of her horse she rides slowly and quietly through the streets of Seattle.

She starts to think about when she moved into Jackson and the awkward interaction between the four of them, Ellie, Dina, Jesse, and herself.

-

Three years earlier.

Sylvia got out of bed when Maria softly knocked on her door trying to wake her. Sylvia called for Maria to come in and she followed suite.

"Hey Hun..." Maria starts as she sits on the corner of Sylvia's bed, checking up on her.

Sylvia nervously responded, "I'm alright... uh is there something you need?" she raises an eyebrow.

"Oh! Yea, some people are here to meet you." Maria says sounding hopeful.

Sylvia's mouth forms a straight line, unsure who they could be.

She gets out of bed and follows Maria down the stairs, turning her attention at the open door she finds three people, 2 girls and a boy. She recognizes them as the people she briefly met at Joel' house a few days ago.

"Sylvia..." Maria points to a red head in the crowed and introduces her as Ellie, she moves onto the brownette and her name was Dina, and finally the boy of the group she mentions that his name was Jesse.

"Hello, it's really nice to meet you all." Sylvia awkwardly smiles back, rubbing her right hand over her left arm.

"I'm sorry we came a little unannounced, but we wanted you to feel welcome here." The girl named Dina walks in and hands Sylvia a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers.

One of them was the Lily of the Valley, Sylvia's favorite.
Sylvia's face beamed after recognizing the flowers.

"Awe, thank you guys so much. Come on in. I'm Sylvia but I'm sure you guys already knew that." She says smiling back waiting for them all to pile their way inside the house.
-

Her memory was cut short as a screech emanated from beside her, her attention snapped next to her as a clicker runs out of the shadows of a subway exit/entrance. The clicker ran up against her unsuspecting horse, taking a bite out of its ribcage and it letting out a panicked whine. Due to the pain the horse was feeling it reeled back onto its hind legs, Sylvia still shocked, flew of the horse landing a few feet away onto her side.

Grunting she scrambled onto her feet jogging away from the evermore infected climbing out of the subway and feasting on her bloodied horse.

Catching her breath she curses, "Fuck... I should have stayed..."

With no choice to go the rest of the way on foot she was able to easily picked off the soldiers on guard by using her shiv with precise actions, planning and confidence behind her attacks. Finishing up the guards she looked around and noticed it had finally made it into the base at sunrise.

Breathing out the deep breath she had been holding, her mind trying to relax, focusing on her goal of finding Tommy.

Thinking about what they could be doing to him consumed her. The thought of Tommy going through what Joel did made Sylvia become uneasy.
