We're Your Family... Right?

Sylvia dreamt about a freckled face redhead, the two of them happy together on a small farmhouse surrounded by large open crop fields, now growing miscellaneous plants and flowers.

A knock on the door stirred her awake and the ever-growing aching in her muscle made sure she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. "Ughhhh..." She groans as she makes herself get up and walk to the door. Opening the door she sees Abby, early ready to start the day.

"Hey, are yo- Woah!!" Abby's face contorts as she pinches her nose.

"Holy shit woman. Did you take a shower?"

Sylvia rolls her eyes, "What shower did you want me to use?" she turns around having her hand around the room which didn't have an indication of a shower or bathroom.

"What do you mean?! The bathroom is just there!" Abby points to the closed door.

"Oh... I thought that was a closet..." Sylvia replied. Abby chuckles taking her fingers off of her nose.

"Hurry up and take a shower, I'll wait for you out here." She points to the bed before sitting down, taking off her backpack. Sylvia nods and walks into the bathroom.

Walking towards the sink and mirror she finally get a good look at herself. "I look like a mess." She tells herself as her eyes dart to the blue circle under her eyes and the knotted hair attached to her head. Sighing she turns around and strips down, disregarding her mangled clothes to the side of the bathroom. She steps into the shower and turns it on, the lukewarm water danced on her skin melting the dirt, sweat and blood off of her. Picking up the bar of soap she rubs it all over her body cleaning what's left of the grime. Then she grabs a bottle of shampoo and washes her hair.

She gets out of the shower and picks up the new clothes that was placed onto the closed toilet. She puts on a grey tank top, black jeans, a belt, and an army green jacket. Sylvia looks again at herself in the mirror, her long brown hair was wet and knotted. Annoying her to no end, she picks up the pocketknife she had in her old pants. Flipping it open she grabs a handful of hair, cutting chunks off in frustration. Finally comfortable in her new look she gets out of the bathroom and finds Abby, on her back on the bed throwing and catching a coin.

"Whatcha got there?" Sylvia asks throwing her old outfit in a trash bin next to the door.

"A cool looking coin I found a while ago. It's from 1969." Abby sits up tossing said coin to her. She takes a good look at it and just gave it back as Abby opened the room door and they both made their way down to the giant metal gate in front of the base.

"I like your hair" Abby tells her noticing her long brown hair now shoulder length.

"Thanks Abs." She give her a big smile in appreciation.

Outside of the gate was Owen, eagerly wave the two over to start their journey to the Seattle aquarium.

"Hold your horses Owen, no one's gonna leave without you." Sylvia tells him after he gives Sylvia her bag and another pistol Owen had given her.
They've been on their way for about 10 minutes, Sylvia was holding the new pistol she'd received. Flipping the gun around in her hands she rubs some grime off of the barrel. Her eyebrows furrowed.

"Is something wrong with it?" Abby steps back, matching her pace with Sylvia's.

"Heh, yeah its not big." She chuckles at Abby, putting the pistol in her back pocket.

"Owen thought it would be wise, cuz... you know." Abby says matter-of-factly.

Sylvia just looks towards Abby, confused on what she means but decided not to question.
