My... Face...

The water seamed to turn black. The small oak boat creaking as it managed to sail across a huge lake in the State of Wyoming. Sylvia, with her long brown hair pinned into a tight bun and her arm wrapped around her thin legs. Her body rocking and thrown about from the boat going over and through the black waves.

It was cloudy, a slight drizzle of rain, but the wind was manic, it switched directions as it pleased and blew out the sail of the small sail boat Sylvia had found with her parents only a few hours prior.

Her name rang in the air as Sylvia's father called out for her from the top of the sail boat. She crawled over the the small stairs and climbed up, opening the door as waves hit the boat splashing water her way.

Cold and wet, she climbs out of the hull of the boat and scurries over to where her parents were, gathering the water that was coming on the boat with buckets, falling down every few minutes.

"Hurry up and grab a bucket." Her father demanded not looking in his daughters direction.

"A-alright" she responded picking up the floating bucket in the ground.

Picking it up, she noticed the waves pushing the boat, sideways. Confused she turned to the left of her to tell her father.

"Hey, Dad?"

"Not now Syl." He groans, throwing a bucket of water above his head and off the boat.

"But Dad I think-"

"I don't care what you think right now! Shut up and help." Her father turned around to look at his daughter but his eyes darted to behind her. It was a long chain of a wave. The waves had succeeded in turning the boat parallel to the waves. And now a seven foot wave came rolling towards them.

"SYLVIA LOOKOUT-" her father screams as the wave came crashing down into the boat, causing it to tipped horizontally.

Sylvia smashed into the railings of the ship. Through her halfway closed eyes she watched as her parents flew off of the boat and into the wild waters.

The started to flip, Sylvia watched as in slow motion she too crashed into the water, the boat falling after her.

Holding her breath she opens her eyes searching for the surface of the water. The air running out in her lungs as she tried to claw her way through the thick water. It turned into sludge, dark slick slime surrounded her, squeezing the life of her.

-

Her eyes peeled open. Her breathing ragged but slowly calming down. She had that dream for years now. Always remembering the horror screaming on each of her parents faces. Sylvia calmed herself, looking ahead of her she found herself looking at a ceiling.

Hushed voices came from the left of her and she slowly turned her neck. Her neck pulled back in pain but she pushed. Sylvia watched as Abby sat on the floor a meter or two away from her, her arms resting lightly on top over her knees that were brought up to her chest. Lev had his arms tightly wrapped around his own legs. Abby's face looking towards the teenage boy sitting next to her. They were engaged in a quiet conversation.

"Abby?" Sylvia called out, but came out as a strained wheeze. None the less, Abby looked over to the noise seeing Sylvia face her with her half closed eyes and her mouth open. Her eyes widened and Abby quickly picked herself up and walked about the other body on the floor to get to Sylvia.
