Being a free witch, or in the eyes of the emperors coven a 'wild witch,' was both the greatest and worst thing to be. On one hand, you're free to do which ever form of magic you please, on the other, the entire emperors coven and bounty's are after you. It's not too bad though, as long as you have a decent hideout. Normally i would throw an illusion over my hideout and scouts buy it and leave, but lately they've been looking through it because they have the Emperors new right hand man leading the groups. So right now, I'm running from a couple of scouts while another group storms my place.

I finally manage to lose the scouts chasing me and find my way back to the supposed 'hideout' that no longer keeps me hidden from the emperor. I stop in my tracks seeing the entire place being trashed and any valuable belongings - like rare potion combinations and snails - are being stored in a wagon.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Now I have to rebuild my hideout!" I groaned, throwing my head back looking at the sky, clasping my hands together and faking a tear. No but seriously, it took me ages to collect stuff for this place and mister Golden Guard over there destroyed it with the snap of his finger.

"Yeah, I don't really care for wild witches or their belongings." He paused, looking in my direction before speaking again, "Although, Emperor Belos cares a lot about taming you."

"Taming me? What am I a wild animal?" I snort lightly and look at the scouts superior, "oh you're being serious."

"People in the emperors coven call you a psychopath. Which is why I will bring you in." The golden guard took a step forward hesitantly.

"Ah yes, but i'm a psychopath making a difference! As for bringing me in..." My palisman came to my side and transformed into a staff, immediately I hopped on and started to hover, "...if you can catch me." I chuckled softly and turned invisible.

I watched amused as the golden guard twists and turns looking for any signs of me. I smile, fond of his recent attempts to catch me the past few days. Today I felt up to a good chase so I reappeared, instantly gaining the attention of the scouts.

"There!" One of the cloaked scouts shouted, pointing to me.

"I have you now wild witch!" The golden guard mounted his own staff and flew up quickly.

When I deemed him close enough, I turned my staff torwards the boiling isles. "Toodles~" I mocked his usual sign off with my own and zoomed off. I trusted my palisman with direction as I looked back to see the golden guard hot on my tail.

"Oh shit-" I snapped my head back ahead and took over steering. The Golden Guard is known for his skill and ability not just in magic and combat, but for speed. I know I won't be able to out fly him but taking so many turns and losing him in the town would be my best bet.

I take a sharp left and I'm flying down the road where market stalls set up. I gain the attention of many as a soar over head, even more as the golden guard continues to chase me throughout the town. I squinted my eyes, up ahead was the Owl Lady and her apprentice. I've heard that it was a human, I hum to myself and catch their eye as i wizzed past.

I realise i'm a little distracted and look forward  just in time to drop in altitude to avoid flying right into a bridge.

"AGH-" The sound of crashing behind me doesn't stop me, not until I turn to see what it was. The Golden Guard had crashed. I stop and hover watching as some scouts go to help him, and he swats them away and helping himself up.

"Are you okay, Goldie?" I ask hesitantly. I fully expect him to continue chasing me through the isles but instead he scoffs and flies the other direction, back towards the emperors castle. I watch for a while, until I change direction towards my family's old house, well that is...
