Another afternoon out with Luz, Willow, Gus, and our newest addition to hangouts; Amity. I'm actually fairly certain Luz and Amity were on a date, Willow, Gus and I just decided to go to? what

"[y/n]! Hey!" All four of us looked over to see who was calling out to me. Goldie. I do not want to talk to him right now. Luz is the only one out of our friends to know what happened, I caught Luz giving me a glance.

Hunter was in casual attire, strange though, I thought he already had his one annual day off. 

"I just wanted to apologise for yesterday, you know the whole chasing you thing? And I bought you these, as more of an apology..." he pulled out a small bouquet of flowers from behind his back and held them out to me expectingly. Gus, Willow and Amity were all surprised at the scene in front of them. And I just knew that Willow more than anyone was being all giddy, it's the hopeless romantic in her. 

"You know Goldie, I don't understand our relationship. Sometimes we're friends, sometimes we're more, and sometimes we're nothing more than a strangers. Well, as far as the Golden Guard chasing an insignificant wild witch, strangers can get." I stared daggers into him, watching him falter and he actually looked hurt. But of course, heaven forbid the Golden Guard has feelings, the emotion ones or the romantic interest ones. 

"You thought.. that we were?" Hunter's attitude and cocky grin might fool others but I could see his eyes fighting back the tears, the weakness. "I would never like you that way." 

I wanted to say some kind of snarky come back. I wanted to hurt him more, but I couldn't find myself being the strong wild witch villain the emperor sees me as. Right now, I'm [y/n] who fell in love and got hurt.

"Goodbye, Golden Guard." I turned on my heal and walked away.
