"What the Titan is wrong with you?" I yelled, voice quivering and breaking as I tried to stay standing.
"If you think you can just come back into their life after nearly ending it, you have another thing coming. And by thing, I mean me." Eda, in her harpy mode, extended her wings, acting as another wall between myself and Hunter.
"I didn't have a choice, it was either I weakened you as a threat to the Emperor's coven or Emperor Belos goes after you himself. And trust me, you don't want that." Hunter tried to reason with the others to let him get to me.
"[y/n] please!" When his efforts seemed to be in vain, he stopped, reaching to their satchel bag and pulling out my palisman.
"[P/n]!" I step forward rather quickly, nearly faltering my balance but I caught myself against the wall. The palisman creature immediately made it's way to my side, nuzzling into my body.
"I am so glad you're okay!" I smile, now holding them, I looked back up to Hunter. I was aware of the fates most, if not all, palisman that enter the Emperors estate faced. Their souls eaten and bodies crushed, it was disgusting and evil.
"Thank you." I acknowledged Hunter's efforts to keep [p/n] safe even if it meant betraying their position in the coven, and their uncle...
"Belos is aware of my betrayal to the coven..." Hunter spoke as if they had read my mind.
"How do we know we can trust you?" Willow glared at him through peered eyes, who could blame her? Or anyone in this room, actually. At the moment, no one trusted Hunter. I mean yeah he did fucking STAB me, but I didn't die.
"It's okay. I trust him."
"ARE YOU CRAZY? HE STABBED YOU!" I'm surprised Gus doesn't suffer from whiplash with how speedy his head turned to look at me with his jaw on the floor.
"Yes, however, he also saved [p/n]."
"I don't like it."
"Course you don't Luz, [y/n] is basically your sister." Amity placed a hand on Luz's shoulder, attempting to relieve the stress and tension.
"Amity, you were right about some things," I start, referring to Hunter's predatory behaviours that Amity had earlier pointed out is usual for him, "but not everything. Therefore, I am placing trust in the Golden Guard."
I smile hints at my lips at the thought of everyone just wanting me to be okay and safe, but I can handle myself and fight my own battles.
"If Goldie over there, makes any wrong moves, be my guest and destroy them." I shrug, seemingly getting others approval from that last witty comment.

I was obviously hesitant to trust him at all, but Hunter was acting off. They weren't one to just stab me after days of no contact and Hunter also knows I've stood up to Belos by myself anyway, well I mean I did faint that one time but still. This wasn't my Hunter and I wanted to get to the bottom of it.
"Thank you darling." Hunter sighs relieved.
"Pump your brakes." I stopped, holding my hand up with my index finger pointed upward. "Hunter doesn't call me that." A smug feeling washes over me, a smile tugging at my lips.
"Correct. I'm too unsure of our relationship for that." Another Hunter was sitting on their staff by the open kitchen window, a highly amused look on his face watching the scene in front of him.
"No. You have commitment issues." I state.
"What's not to love?" Hunter dismounted his staff and began to make their way to me; I was still weary. I knew that was the real Hunter, don't ask me how I just do, but I was still cautious and scared, subconsciously taking a step back and keeping a fair amount of distance between myself and the boy.
"Sorry. TWO Hunters?" Gus called out, seeing as everyone else was also extremely concerned.
"An illusion?" Luz stood closer to their cotton candy haired girlfriend in a defending stance, hands readying themselves by her pockets to pull out glyphs.
Gus pulled off his earring and looked through it as if it were a spyglass, the jewellery piece allows him to see illusions and reality. As he returned it to his ear, Gus informed us it was in fact an illusion.
"I think they're using a concealment stone."
"A concealment stone? My siblings use those." Amity spoke up, looking over at the imposter once more, eyes searching for what might be the deceiving stone.
"Odalia." Eda interrupted with a sneer.
"Ugh fine." The false Hunter removed the once hidden concealment stone, revealing that it was indeed Odalia.
"Why mother?"
"Because that silly golden boy can't take a wild witch out! The Emperor asked for me specifically to not only go after the girl but also test the waters of where his rascal of a nephew's loyalties lie." The woman peered at the sheer sight of Hunter and myself, menacingly smiling knowing she has information to relay back to Emperor Bitch-los.
The Emperor had purposefully saved my palisman to be able to go through with this little scheme. Meaning the idea was never to kill me, maybe that was just Odalia being a psycho and wanting to prove her loyalty to the coven, or something stupid. Or maybe I was overthinking it and the idea was to actually kill me.
By now, Eda and Amity have gotten into a pretty heated argument with the older Blight, spells at the ready. Wouldn't be surprised if Eda challenged her to a witches duel for putting my life on the line.
