'What kind of proposal is this? Do you suggest I'll waste my money in your station that the only audiences are mothers with their kids?' Mr. Romulo scoffed. "May you forget it but I'm a businessman, well anyway what would I expect from your likes.'

His words had stung and continued to do so, because he admit it himself or not that's the sad reality. How many times he had tried to talk Drew to be more forward-thinking; to widely develop their range so they can add up more variety of topic that is timely relevant; to promote a weekly hits as more successful stations did, but all of his suggestions are put aside. As of now he is trying to foget all of his disappointment, he is concentrating with Drew. He is trying hard to accept the fate of their radio station in Zion's hands, maybe he is just prejudice by that short encounter.

He just couldnt understand himself why he just loathe Zion Palmer that much. He can't join the happy feels his office mates has. He can't forsee ahead of him the possibility  of any changes the company will undergo in the near future.

'This I can say to you,' Paul announced confidently. 'Mr. Tan can't do amything once Mr. Palmer will start doing his wonder. I mean look at our set up right now....' Even though he doesn't want to agree but he can see what is lacking in the radio station right now. The five of them couped in a small office that also serve as their mess hall.

Initially, Drew want put up a building outside the city radius because of the hideous traffic in the city and most of them live away from the city but Mr. Tan opposed to such ambitious thoughts. As the main investor, he said he has more right to tell wjere the investment should go. So they end up renting an office space on the second floor of Mr. Tan supermarket building in the middle of the city.

'And what do you think Mr. Palmer will do?' Nevin asked Paul, infuriated by his contemptuous dismissal of all that Drew had tried to do. 'He will wave magic wand and produce modern, fully equipped radio station?'

'Well, whatever he will do I'm sure that it is far more better than what Drew has been doing so far.' Paul fought back. 'For God's sake, Nevin! We are all aware you are inlove with him but you have to see his shortcomings too. You feel sorry for him because he's always the under-dog, but whose  fault is that? I don't  kmow what have you seen in him to be this loyal.....'

They would always argue about this before and as always he is defensive when it comes to Drew. He can't explain it to Paul, with all his frank appreciation of the modern approach towards sex, that with Drew he felt safe and he didn't need to find the need to be intimate with Drew, and that he loved him for his gentle acceptance of this.

As he got up to leave he was frowning unhappily. What do they think Zion Palmer can do the company? Is he some kind of magician? Can he conjure up from thin air the model radio station? Well, tjey are in for delusional situation, he is not a good person to start with.  He was a cold, ruthless man, incapable of understanding the feelings of others, arrogant and overbearing. Without the slightest effort, he can still remember perfectly how tjecway he looks while he was saying his unfair opinion on the likes of him, and he was almost trembling with anger as he stepped out into the street to meet Drew.

Drew is already waiting for him in his car, and Nevin smiled at him as he opened the passenger door of the homely Ertiga. It took them just thirty minutes to drive to the village where he lived with his parents, and they normally sat in a companionable silence listening to their own radio station.

"Are you alright Nevin? Do you have any problem?' Drew asked gently.

'Hmp, nothing except about Zion Palmer,' he admitted uneasily. 'I can't help wishing you'd never met him...'

'You cam handle him, I'm sure of it. I have big faith on you,' David assured him. 'He isn't used to anyone standing up to him.'

'No, I suppose they're more likely to fall prone at his feet,' Nevin retorted.

'Or on his bed,' Drew said very dryly.

'Oh shut up Drew, he is straight as an arrow. He don't bend that way' Nevin snapped sarcastically

So he is right actually with his impression about Zion Palmer, a man who considered women and his kind were put on earth to serve only one purpose, Nevin reflected wrathfully, turning off  the radio as a news broadcast finished.

He bid Drew goodnight and cant help but think how bland their relationship is. He want it safe but he also want to play.

I wish Zion Palmer will stay away from our radio station for a while bit. I need time to gather my thoughts. My god Nevin, get over your lingering feelings. You are angry because you know you don't have future with him. You are angry with him necause you might succumb to his charms. You want a safe life but you want to play too. You want it safe but then your craving for Zion for the longest time now. Time for you to face your monster Nevin
