The silent was deafening after his outburst and that's when Nevin realized that he had spoken so loudly. He was about to apologize because he disrupted the meeting when there was other distinct voice other than Drew's had spoken from the side, infront of the room.

'Ah, so the missing Advertising controller is finally here and thank you for deciding to show up for the meeting. I hope you make it a point to listen sometimes, Mr. Chavez, instead comandeering a conversation maybe you would learn even a little. Success takes time with hardwork but as I can see it's lacking in this set-up' Zions  voice boomed with his no nonsense remark.

His cheeks burned.

'Naughty, naughty!' Paul whispered in his ear. 'You crossed the lion on his tail, darling. I think you'll be the sacrificial lamb and the favorite example for a long time.

As if magic, there was path going to Drew's desk and for the first time Nevin saw who was sitting there. He gasp. His effect on him is still the same. He recognize him right away that instant. There was no mistaking that tall well-muscled body encased in an immaculate charcoal-grey suit, nor the hard-boned masculine profile, icy-stormy black eyes sweeping him from head to foot.

Zion Palmer! He's here already and he can't believe it.

He pulled up the cuff of his polo then look at his watch and at this moment Nevin was furious. If he thinks I'm late for work, he's so wrong and he'll prove it later on. He came out from behind his desk, the suggestion of restrained power very evident in his lithe movements, his black hair slightly longer than he had remembered, brushing the collar of his jacket. He gestured to the chair in front of Drew's desk and said in a deceptively calm voice:

'Sit down, Nevin.'

All of my instinct is telling me that this person is DANGEROUS. I force myself to calm down and look straight at him. All my hairs stood up with the way he looked at me and it feels like I'm drowning in his eyes as he look into me deeply. He was half way towards the chair before he realized what he was doing, and straightened abruptly.

'I'll stay here, thank you,' he replied. 'I'm one of them actually. Just because I look like female, I'll be treated differently.' And I don't care how he would take my statement, smiling at his thought. He endured his glare for a couple of minutes and then he smirked at him...

'Well, you're right about one thing,' he drawled coolly. 'You're feminine all right.'

He couldn't believed how easily his workmate laugh at his derision, including Drew. He was trembling slightly because he was so pissed off, he didn't notice when someone dragged him to sit.

'There,' Zion said gently. 'Now you can see and hear everything from here.'

Nevin's cheeks burned anew. He is showing it to all that I'm nonetheless a brat! Beneath his blouse his skin felt as though it were on fire where he had touched him, his emotions in chaos. He can't think straight, his mind is muddled.

'Now,' he drawled, 'I'll continue, and if it makes it any easier for you, I promise you I'm not here to dwell on past glories—mine or anyone else's.' His eyes swept the room. 'There's one thing for sure, if we were relying on relating the successes of your venture we'd have precious little to talk about.'

This is it, Nevin thought. Maybe he is loathing about our dire situation. He came in for a simple in meeting in Drew's office like this, all suit up for a board meeting. All that he was feeling showed in his eyes, as he lifted them to his unreadable face. He returned the look, his eyes dropping to the soft curves so lightly masked by the flowy blouse. Without a trace of embarrassment they lingered for a while before making a full and appreciative study of the rest of his body, and when his eyes eventually returned to his face, they were no longer cold but warmly sensual with a meaning that was distinctly plain.

'pervert!' Nevin went hot and then cold, trying to appear unaffected by the blatantly sensual inspection. No one has dared to look him up like that and he shivered a little without knowing why.

'Well, Nevin?' He cut my reverie. 'Would you like to tell us something? It looks like you have a lot to say earlier, suppose you tell me why after nearly twelve months' operation you're still floundering about like a bunch of amateurs, playing at operating a radio station.'

That disturbing sexually aware look might never have been, his voice and eyes probed mercilessly, driving him to murmur defiantly under him breath,

"Because not all can be the mighty Mr. Zion Palmer in this world.' I murmured while looking down on the floor without the intent of telling him so. He doesn't intent for him to hear it but when his mouth tightened comprehendingly, he knew that he had. He trembled a litle when he saw he was coming near him but he didn't show he was intimidated in anyway. He is not that weak to soften like a jelly with just his angry stare. He lift up his face and glared back.

However, aparently he knows how to keep his temper at bay. He just stare at him before he proceeds to talk again.

'Since you appear so keen on airing you views, Nevin, perhaps you'd care to favour us with an explanation of these advertising figures.' He look at him straight in eyes while holding the report which he patiently collated this past few days.

He was wrong about his holding his temper, as he thrust a file under his nose. He know how to keep it but you can feel it too, reminding him that Zion despise gays in media. An unpleasant thought struck him, maybe he is doing this intentionally, to irk him so he would resign.  Well, youre in for a big surprise Palmer, he wouldn't fall for that one, he decided grimly as he dropped the file on Drew's desk, his eyes never leaving his face.

'Barely a hundred thousand pesos a week in revenues. In Manila we turn over more than a million in exactly the same time span, and that's allowing only six minutes of commercials to the hour. It turns the listeners off if they're swamped by commercial breaks. Those aren't what they tune in for, but I'm sure all this is merely goals to Zamboanga as far as you're concerned, Nevin. What,' his eyebrows arched in unconcealed contempt, 'nothing to say for yourself?'

While he was holding on, he heard Drew interupt Zion, 'Nevin is highly qualified and very experienced, Zion. He was with an excellent advertising agency in Cebu before he joined us...'
