Once Upon A Time....
A women with long green hair looked over her kingdom with eyes glancing back and forth. She leaned against the balcony of her castle that loomed over the world with its massive height. Her son, a tiny child, wiggled in his father's arms. The tall royal smiled sweetly at the boy in his arms. The green haired child giggled as he pointed down at the small village with awe. His face was soft with freckles littering his skin, his bold emerald eyes reflected the sun that started to set. The two adults smiled at the boy, love filled their hearts at the sound of the young boys words. He rambled on and on about one day exploring unknown lands and becoming a man.
"One day my love, but for right now you must get to bed. If you plan to grow up so quickly we must start with sleep." The tall Alpha chuckled as he squeezed the boy close to his body. The child huffed in annoyance and crossed his arms.
"But dad...!" The child complained but was hushed by the women sweetly as she gave him a sweet grin.
"How about a story first," the green haired Omega suggested and the boy perked up. He returned her smiled before wiggling once again as he nodded his head. The two royals chuckled as they turned to head back inside their home. The inside was modest but cozy with smooth stone walls and basic decor.
Their sons room was littered with books, tales about Omegan pricesses in tall towers with Alpha knights swooping in to save them. These tales in the boys eyes were comforting and exciting. Stories of adventure and heros were his favorite but none more than narrations about dragons. The boy felt that a creature said to be as big as a house and breath layered in fire was beautiful. Their wings able to carry them anywhere they wished and able to fly up to the clouds with no worry.
The child was tucked into bed with the blankets swallowing him in warmth. His mother sat on the bed and tucked a stay hair away from his face as his father rubbed her back.
"What story do you want to hear tonight Izuku?" The Omega asked and the boy didn't hesitate. With glee he sat up straight with a smile dancing on his face.
"Tell me that one about the dragon!" The child shouted with glee and his mother giggled down at her son.
"Alright but you have to settle down," she cooed and the boy pulled the blankets up to cover his mouth. He bore his eyes into his mother's beautiful face as she rubbed his head. She scooted closer so she could lay next to her boy, her fingers playing with his hair softly. She started to tell the story like she had don't a thousand times before, the tale burned into her head.
"In a land not far from our own hatched a tiny baby dragon, his name long forgotten by men. His mother always warned her son to stay close to her, because she feared that humans would take her hatchling away. But as the dragon got older he ventured further and further away from the nest. He itched for adventure, and awaited the day he grew big enough that he could leave his den.
One day, when his toes grew talons, his back covered in spikes, and his belly with fire he left home. He sought for his own adventure, one where he conqured lands and built his own hoard of gold. He flew above the clouds and when his wings grew tired he landed in a strange land. One with no castles, no animals and no men. The dragon said 'No adventure lies here!' So he took to the sky and flew down by the sea. He flew across oceans until he found a castle. But this castle was withered away from time, it had no men or gold. So the dragon declared 'No adventure here.' So he flew once again until he came across a cottage. He discovered a Omegan women who was the first person he had ever seen. Curious of her beauty he flew down scaring the poor girl. The dragon was confused about the women's timid nature. He told her 'I have more reason to be scared of you.'
The women then told the dragon. 'What about your large claws?'
'All the better to dig with,' the dragon said.
'And your large teeth?'
'All the better to fill my belly with.'
'And your fire?'
'All the better to warm myself with.'
The women and dragon quickly became friends. And when he took her back to his home land his mother was shocked.
'What of your findings son?'
The dragon felt sad knowing he had not found the adventure he sought after. He told his mother that he had not found gold, or conquered cities. He had found a girl. His mother smiled at the dragon.
'You flew above the clouds my son, no other dragon here can say that.'
'You flew across the sea my son, no other dragon here can say that.'
'You befriended men my son, no other dragon can say that. It seems your adventure has just started.'"
When the royal finished the story Izuku's eyes were fighting sleep. Her Alpha kissed the boy on the forehead before the Omega did the same. The child yawned tiredly as he rubbed his face. The Omega rubbed his head gently as the boy settled comfortingly into his bed. As the boy closed his eyes to allow sleep to consume him the Omega leaned into his ear and whispered softly.
"Your adventure will come my love, you're one day closer." The Omega placed another kiss on his head before standing to her feet. Her husband offered his hand and she took it. Not making a sound they opened the door to leave but lingered a moment to gaze at their sleeping child. His soft snores were quiet against the wind that blew softly outside. The King and Queen both smiled happily as they made their way out and closed the door behind them.
Izuku dreamed that night of dragons, fluffy clouds, and flying.
