Chapter Thirty

Katsuki stood at Izuku's door working up the courage to knock. His palms were sweaty as he rubbed them together, he could never imagined he'd get so worked up trying to talk to the Omega but here he was. He sighed and encouraged himself silently before wrapping his knuckles softly on the door. 

"Go away!" Katsuki heard the Prince wail and the blonde admitted to himself that he hated that sound. He didn't like seeing the Omega in such distress when he had been nothing but delightful to him. 

"It's Katsuki," he called and he was met with silence. So he tried again. 

"Look I just came to apologize, so would you please open the door?" The blonde asked nicely but was again met with silence. The Alpha huffed as he took a step back. 

"Okay that's it! Open up this damn door nerd or I'll break it down!" He threatened but only heard a squeak in return. 

"You asked for it. One! Two! Thr-" he was surprised when the door finally opened but he was grabbed by the shoulder and pulled inside. He pushed down a surprised sound in his throat as he recovered from his stumble. Izuku's room looked really nice, dressed up in green Hydrangeas and red Amaryllis. The greenette faced away from him, looking down at a piece of paper folded up in his hands. Katsuki didn't pry but just looked the greenette up and down. His face was red from crying with streak marks running down his face. 

"The maids really put in the work in every room," Izuku commented as he looked from his paper to the flowers hanging above his bed. His jaw clenched as he faced the blonde. 

"They remind me of him, and I'm just..." Izuku wondered over to the flower arrangement by the bedside table containing the same kind of flowers. He petted an Amaryllis gently before crushing it in his palm. 

"I'm just... so angry," Izuku stressed as he looked at the crushed flower petals. Katsuki bowed his head in thought before reaching out for the Omega. He touched his shoulder gently before walking around him so he could look the greenette in the eye. 

"Listen nerd, I... I um..." the blonde had a tough time coming up with the right words but as the greenette looked up at him he could see how hurt the Omega really was. Katsuki had beat himself up all night over the fight, he didn't mean to out the redhead it just slipped out. Looking at the greenette now the blonde realized just how much his words had hurt him. 

"I didn't want..." he stumbled again as Izuku waited for him patiently. 

"This isn't just Shitty Hair's fault, I have some of the blame too," Izuku nodded agreeing with the blonde and yet he couldn't bring himself to blame the blonde. 

"You were just curious right? Is that why you were watching us?" The blonde thought about lying but with the greenette fluttering his eyelashes at him he couldn't bring himself to do it. 

"No. Well... I guess at first I was curious. Before I used to avoid humans, only interacting with them when they got too close. So seeing how they... or I guess you. Seeing how you mated it seemed like fun. Instincts drive animals to mate but the way you were..." Izuku listened to every word coming out of his mouth intensely. Every syllable was heard by the Omega which made Katsuki a bit nervous as he spoke. 

"The noises you made were new, and cute and..." Katsuki growled. He was not good at this, not one bit but he would try. 

"The point is, after that I watched you because I wanted to keep hearing those noises. I wanted to watch how good he made you feel because I... I wanted something like that." He confessed and Izuku held his hand up to his mouth. Hearing the blonde talk so seriously but honestly about how he was feeling was new but refreshing. Izuku could tell the blonde was telling the truth, he could see why Katuski had observed them.
