Chapter Eight

Dabi, Izuku, and Eijirou all sat in the kitchens, eating anything they could get their hands on. Meats, vegetables, sweets, all food was fair game. The guard stared at them with concern but he hid it well, covering it with an indifference. They made small talk with the soldier, asking how he came to be a guard for the King. He answered vaguely, not wanting to give out all his secrets.

"My family is close with the royal family," he answered. Izuku nodded and Kirishima dug his sharp teeth into a rib without care.

"Oh is that why you know Todoroki? Did you meet at a meeting or something?" Izuku asked as he bit into a rice cake. Dabi smiled, it was small, but a smile none the less. He sipped some water before clearing his throat.

"No, he's my brother actually," he said as if it wasn't a big deal, so Izuku treated it like it wasn't a big deal.

"How cool, you know you look very similar. Is it just you and Todo or are there more of you?" Izuku asked curiously and Dabi chuckled lowly. The little Omega was growing on him. The Alpha took another sip of water before placing it on the table in front of him. Izuku watched his expression, Dabi seemed relaxed so he didn't think the question was overstepping. Kirishima, on the other hand, was just enjoying the food. His belly was empty from eating so little so he wanted to fill it before anything else happened.

"Theres four of us. Me and Shoto are guards, obviously," he chuckled and Izuku couldn't help but join in.

"Then there's Natsuo, he's studying to be a scholar, and Fuyumi is a teacher," Dabi smiled sadly and Izuku picked up the change quickly. He changed the subject to the food and complimented the taste. That's when Kirishima joined in with his mouth covered in sauce.

"Delicious!" He chirped before digging back into a fat potatoe. Izuku could help but giggle at his ridiculous display but he was happy. His mind no longer cluttered with anxiety or fear, which made him feel a sense of freedom.

They finished eating quickly before Dabi lead then up a set of stairs where corridors where lined with doors. It seemed to go on forever before the ravenette stooped at one particular door. He opened it and ushered them inside, Izuku stood in awe. Flowers lined the ceiling, the natural sunlight gave it a glow with simple decor but if was perfect for the greenette. The room had a large king sized bed with comfortable blankets and a stack of pillows. Kirishima smiled for sprinting fully before jumping on the bed with a thump. He laid like a starfish as he curled his fingers three the soft fabrics. Izuku giggled and Dabi rolled his eyes.

"I'll be outside if you need anything," he stated coolly and Izuku turned to five himself bright smile.

"Thank you Dabi, for everything," he whispered so only the ravenette could hear. The Alpha gave a subtle grin before closing the door so the two were alone. Izuku giggled when he turned his face toward Eijirou. The redhead as rubbing his face against the blankets as he hummed happily. Izuku feeling playful ran over to jump on the bed but didn't make a thump as he landed belly first.

"Oh my Gods, I missed having a bed," Izuku laughed and Eijirou nodded as he closed his eyes to absorb the warmth. They laid that way in silence, just enjoying the comfortable atmosphere. When the sun set and things became dark Izuku lit the torches in the room so they could have light, but Eijirou didn't care much. The mostly snuggled the whole night before they fell in a nice sleep.

When then sun peaked threw the windows Izuku's eyes fluttered open. His body was trapped between Eijirou's arms but he didnt mind. In fact waking up in a nice bed with an Alpha wrapped around you would melt anyone's heart, Izuku felt like crying happy tears. For once in his life he felt safe, and with Kirishima there he felt strong. Since he came into his life something in him changed. And he could never repay the Alpha for the strength he has given him.
