Chapter Sixteen

The next morning was busy. Izuku and Kirishima were able to get everything packed easily because the only things they had used were the blankets the night before. Katsuki was still in dragon form, he hadn't morphed since last night and the redhead was just happy he didn't have to look the otherwise blonde in the eye. Denki was just as mysterious as before, speaking in riddles as he tested some of his potion bottles.

Katsuki had hunted a large boar for the three of them and they cooked and ate it quickly before leaving. They set out on the road before sunrise getting a head start on the day. Most of their time was spent just having mindless chatter but it fell silent a few different times due to Kaminari and his weird speech.

"Oh I hope I don't fail, Master will be furious. Doesn't help I'm late... oh damn it!" He muttered as he threw a bottle behind them causing a loud boom but no one looked. Izuku was staring at the map, his nose scrunched when he looked up and down. Kirishima was excited for the next part of their adventure, but his eyes kept getting caught on the orange dragon behind them. The large lizard would snarl as if to say 'What are you looking at?' Then the redhead would turn away hiding a smile.

"How much farther?! We can't be that far away," Kaminari complained and Izuku just took in a breath before facing the blonde.

"We're not far!" The greenette called.

"We just have to go threw this village and up the mountain, should be there before nightfall!" Denki sighed as he went limp against the dragon's back. Katsuki snapped his jaws but the wizard just stayed like he was against his back. Finally, the dragon arched his back before going down harshly so his tail snapped and Denki went flying overhead.

"Eekk!" He screamed as he flew threw the air, clutching his bag of potions as he soared out of sight. Katsuki slowly morphed back human before screaming after him.

"That's what you get Dunce!" He clenched his fist shaking it as the wizard's frightened screams came to a stop.

"Is he okay?" Kirishima wondered out loud and the greenette just shrugged.

"He's a wizard, I'm sure he's fine," Izuku smiled but picked up the pace just in case. They found the wizard apprentice on his butt clutching his bag protectively. Katsuki let out a burly laugh as he pointed at the shaken blonde. Kaminari quickly stood to his feet shaking an accusing finger in his direction.

"Hey, that was not very funny," the blonde frowned before brushing off his robes. The dragon just popped his knuckles before clicking his tongue.

"Want me to do it again?" He threatened, the greenette could sense he was joking but the wizard didn't take it as one.

"Touch me and I'll turn you into bird food," the apprentice growled and the blonde dragon just chuckled.

"I'd like to see you try," he howled playfully before pushing the wizard and hauling ass toward the direction they were heading. Izuku just giggled before snapping his reins so his horse started to sprint after him. Kirishima couldn't leave the poor blonde behind and helped Denki hop onto his horse before following suit.

The green-haired Omega quickly caught up to the dragon-shifter, laughing as his horse stayed neck and neck with the blonde. Katsuki snorted, forcing his legs to run faster so he could get ahead of the greenette.

"I could do this for days! Give up while you can nerd!" The blonde shouted, determined to beat the Omega in whatever race he was conducting.

"Never!" Izuku called back jokingly as he kicked into the horse's side to make him go faster. Katsuki jumped over a massive log easily, while the horse flawlessly followed. The dragon-shifter's bare feet barely made any sound as he ran while the horse's hooves clamped harshly. The greenette was having so much fun he didn't notice the blonde stop dead in his tracks until Kirishima called out to him. The blonde stood his ground, fighting back a snarl as he stared at the trees in front of him.
