"Eh!? You really went to Dwarfs' Mine to find a magic crystal?" Crowley blinked in surprise.
Your quintet had returned back to the school and presented the gem to the Headmaster. Judging from his reaction he didn't expect such an outcome, but here you five stood before him, a crystal in your possession.
"Huh?" Everyone was confused by his reaction.
"I really didn't think...you'd not only go then come back with a crystal in hand." He admitted casually before dropping his voice to a murmur. "I quietly completed the paperwork for your expulsion."
"Burn it." You said bluntly.
Grim stamped his paw on the ground. "Nnga! The nerve of this guy! While we were off fighting some crazy beast!" Grim huffed in frustration.
"Beast?" Crowley picked up inquisitively, the notion grasping his full attention.
"There was a monster there!" Ace clarified as he tried to picture the creature in his mind. "It was super gross and crazy strong, it was awful!"
"Could you explain in more detail?" The Headmaster asked. His interest had piqued. He led everyone to the office where everyone explained what had occurred at Dwarfs' Mine.
The Headmaster's office, although vast, was surprisingly empty. It was a large circular room decorated with curtains and drapes. A long rectangular purple rug led to the dark wooden desk ornate with two candelabras on each side. A large chandelier hung overhead. The most notable thing that caught your eye were the levitating gold portraitures of what you recognized as the Great Seven.
After the explanation, Crowley hummed in understanding. "A mysterious monster living in the coal mine. The five of you worked together to defeat it and bring back a magic crystal?" He summarized.
"We didn't really work together..." Ace confessed, scratching the back of his head as he averted his gaze.
"It was more like our goals were aligned..." Deuce insisted.
You internally sighed. Even now after it was all over, they still refused to admit it. These magicians are so stubborn.
Without warning, Crowley immediately began uncontrollably sobbing. Everyone else who was present stared at him in bewilderment. It was such a bizarre occurrence you couldn't take your eyes off of it.
He's...crying?! Why?!
"What's with this guy? Why is an adult bursting into tears!?" Grim questioned, unsure of what else to say besides confusion.
"In all these years that I've been headmaster...for the day to come that students from Night Raven College go hand in hand to face and defeat their enemy!" Crowley murmured loudly as he held up his hands.
"What!? I did not hold this guys hand!" Deuce exclaimed in protest.
You raised a quizzical brow. ...That's what he fixated on?
"I would never do that, gross!" Ace interjected with a look that could only be described as disgust. "But headmaster, how old are you!?" He raised a good question.
Unfortunately it wouldn't be answered as his question was promptly ignored. "I am overwhelmed with emotion. This incident confirms it." Crowley said. "Yuu and (Y/N)... the two of you...without a doubt, have talent as beast tamers!"
