AGNES DIDN'T KNOW-

Agnes didn't know when the hate began.
maybe after the first two measly jobs Lockwood & Co were finished that she started hating Anthony.

well she didn't hate; she resented him, pushed him away completely.
Anthony offered to sacrifice himself at any given opportunity, maybe it was because he wanted to play hero. but Agnes hated it every time.
she hated the way he was careless with his life- it reminded herself too much of her.
trying to do an unnecessary sacrifice.
so maybe if she pushed him away sufficiently enough for him to hate her so that he could stop putting his life on the line for her.

now George was a different story- Agnes warmed up to him almost completely (not enough to tell about her early life, but sufficient to tell him about her life now.)
maybe it was the way George wasn't afraid to let his "weirdness" out to anyone, or his culinary work and intelligence.

Agnes walked in the apartment, Lockwood sat on a chair as George cooked, a girl sat by Lockwood's side, by the way she talked and acted she seemed almost out of place.
"Agnes!" Lockwood stopped the conversation, every person in the kitchen looked up at her.
"where were you it's late!" Lockwood stood up abruptly.
"it's barely nine..." Agnes checked her clock with furrowed brows.

"you've been out all day." Georgie added in.
"you're not my parents to ask me this many questions." Agnes responded, cutting the conversation short.

"who are you?" the mystery girl opened her mouth but Lockwood answered for her. "ah right! Agnes this is Lucy, Lucy this is Agnes. Lucy has been hired just earlier and if you'd have been here you would know that." Lockwood stared the blonde with some sort of harshness, before returning his gaze to Lucy with affection or maybe even care.

the blonde girl's stomach dropped, her heart seemed to shatter slightly. "well, i'll be in room then! welcome Lucy; hope you don't loose your sanity while with us." Agnes smiled.
"not staying for supper?" Georgie asked. "not today, I ate outside already." Agnes declined with a smile.
she was that way because she was afraid right? afraid she'd be fired. she treated Lockwood badly all these months, so now a new girl comes in and Agnes will be replaceable again.

The teenager went to her room, it was right in front of Anthony's so sometimes at night she'd hear his footsteps circling around.
the girl took her outside clothes off, throwing them to the side of her room and heading to the bathroom for a long hot shower.

"Lockwood wants to see you." Lucy passed Agnes by the hall after Agnes had gotten dressed, Lucy seemed gentle; it made it hard for Agnes to resent her if she was to be fired.

"did you call?" Agnes leaned over the library door, Anthony had his back faced to her, he was reading a book. suddenly he turned to face her.
"yes!" he stood up quickly, turning around to face the blonde.
