"SORRY ABOUT ALL THAT.
I'm short-staffed at the moment. Joplin's got her head in a coroner's report somewhere." Saunders spoke to Agnes's dismay.
"unusual table you've got there." George commented as they approached the furniture.

"it's a catalfaque, according to Joplin. God know what it does!" the man replied.
"it's a lift to take coffins to the catacombs. I'd never normally say this but you really shouldn't be using it to serve biscuits." the boy in glasses smirked in a smart-ass manner.
"I work with what I've got."

"doesn't everybody?" Agnes thought out loud, making the four heads in the room turn.
"I suppose so." the older man smiled politely "right. let's get this signed!" he handed the paper to Lockwood, who signed without even reading it over.
"so what happened at the incident?" the boy asked.

"the gravediggers mistimed it. got caught with an exposed casket as the sun set." Saunders informed.
"did anyone see a visitor?" Lucy questioned.
"sensitives can't get their stories straight. apart from the fact they're all sick and need a lie-down. no backbone, your generation!" Agnes rolled her eyes at his negligence to his workers.
"you said the casket was exposed?" George ignored Saunders remarks.
"yes, but not open. that's your job. you'll be on your own now. I'll not have anyone else near that grave until it's made safe. I can't risk any more disruption."

"you said we'd be well-supported? this is not what we agreed! what if there are relic men, or some other active visitors out there?" Lockwood complained.
"if you wish to complain, just complete the relevant paperwork."

"I am not filling out more forms." Lockwood's voice was serious and extremely deep to show his distaste.
"suit yourself. but you're still under contract." he showed the paper to their faces.
"wow, thanks." Agnes smiled sarcastically, then frowning as he let out a small smile.
Lockwood inhaled in frustration.
"we shouldn't even be here. we should be front-page news." he looked down, dissatisfied with everything.
"Lockwood, let's just get it done." Lucy sighed.
"if you keep looking back to what could've been then you'll just hurt your self and that big ego; I'm sure there will be more opportunities in the future." Agnes smiled softly, not liking to see Lockwood in that state. he stared at her with kind eyes, smiling softly as his cheeks reddened.
"come on!" Lucy called them.

they were walking to their destination, the unmarked grave that was said to have caused nausea and trouble for the Kensal Green Cemetery workers.
"they really did leave in a hurry." George commented.
"okay...ready?" Anthony asked, the grave laid right before them. flashlights were turned off.

a pulse of energy entered the listeners ears, Agnes could see small white lingering glows of death and she could feel sickness beginning to form in her stomach.
"there's no death glows." Lockwood said in a muffled manner.
