"THIS IS A GAME CHANGER FOR US, if you can harness this thing." George looked up to both girl's expectantly. "do you think you can?" Lockwood leaned closer.
"guess we'll find out." Lucy spoke with indecision, Agnes noticed that the worrying feeling inside their chests were mutual. "if only eight-year-old George Karim could see me now. the best experiment yet. fully testing out a Type Three." George spoke rapidly with excitement.
"and us..." Agnes looked at Lucy who gave the blonde an awkward tight-lipped smile in return. "we'll be fine. we've got your back." Lockwood assured, getting lost in the green eyes of Agnes Berkshire.
"do you carry the skull or do I?" Lucy questioned as Agnes grabbed her rapier from the basket. the blonde shrugged "I can carry it if you want." Lucy nodded. Lockwood, Lucy and George helped Agnes to put the bag containing the skull onto her back. the girl turned around after the task was finished.
"ready?" Lockwood questioned causing the blonde to smile, "always."

the four colleagues passed through the dark forest, their flashlights on as they focused on keeping quiet until they reached Bickerstaff's home. Lockwood pushed the gate open as they quickened up their pace.
"how did the skull know Bickerstaff?" Lockwood questioned, looking back to the two girls. "he said he was his acolyte." Lucy responded. "calls him master." Agnes scoffed slightly.
"accomplice to an occultist doctor. bodes well." George added before Anthony broke the window in the front door of the abandoned house, twisting the door knob open and upon entering the hinges of the white door let out a loud creak. the four investigated the home, flashlights lighting up the place until the Skull exclaimed.
"no! stop here." the acolyte commanded. "wait, hang on." Agnes raised her free hand upon the air, as if she wanted to freeze her companions. "what is it?" Lucy asked the Skull.
"do not step inside. wait here." he commanded, "let Lockwood and Karim go." Agnes scowled at his words as her and Lucy did an one-eighty turn. "why?" Lucy asked.
"because they can't talk to me, and you can. they're expendable. if you die, I'll be trapped in this jar forever." the Skull whined as Agnes stared into Lockwood's and George's eyes.
"Agnes?" Lockwood stared at the blonde who had her mouth hanged open in thought. "I'm in charge now. the boy Karim has felt the power of the bone glass. let him have what he craves." Agnes frowned, as she broke her intense stare with Lockwood.
