LOCKWOOD AND AGNES WERE IN THE CAB.
running from Fittes security and the unknown mercenary.
"is anyone following?" Lockwood questioned as he glanced at Agnes.

"don't think so. although, I wouldn't put it past Kipps or that maniac from the library. you think Penelope saw us?" Agnes stared at her pair.
"well, after tonight, I think we'll both be off her Christmas card list that's for sure."

"bummer. did you see the box she gave him? it had the harp symbol on it. the one George found on Fairfax's goggles." Agnes sighed exhaustedly from this never ending mission.

"are you sure?" Lockwood questioned although he was sure of the answer he would receive.
"I'm certain of it. and we know what a certified bastard he turned to be." Agnes looked towards her window.
her heart pounding hard against her chest and blood pumping through her veins quickly, seemingly, the adrenaline rush from all the running was yet to pass.

"still, we got the book." Lockwood's lips were forming into a small smirk. his hair was unkept, not the way he used to style it— it was stuck on his forehead as a consequence of the sprint.
"we do." Agnes couldn't help but smile at the completed mission.
"let's finish this." he nodded.

the plan had been going as it was set up, for now.
Agnes and Lockwood broke into a jog to meet with Florence Bonnard, George Karim and Lucy Carlyle by the banks of the Thames.
"oh, Jesus. look at the smile on him. this won't end well." Flo noted as she stared beyond George and Luce.

"you're late." George complained as the runners came into a halt, chests going up and down— their breathing was quite audible.
"sorry. we had a few complications." Agnes panted as she explained.

"did you get the Dulac book?" George cut her short, his voice stern and concerned. obsessive.
"yeah, course we did. now, what's the plan?" Lockwood replied hurriedly.
"well the auction's starting any minute and Winkman's locked down the streets around it. so, basically, we're screwed." George retorted.

"oh great!" Agnes exclaimed frustratedly, wiping her right hand against her face.
"oh, have a little faith, you two. London ain't just the streets, you know. now stay close and no talking." Flo commanded, leading the group of agents.

"so what happened?" Lucy whispered to Agnes. the two were behind all of them.
"nothing really, just some psycho with a golden sword wanting to behead me and Tony..." Agnes brushed the topic away as if it was nothing.

"behead you? for what? and also...Tony?" Lucy wiggled her eyebrows with a smile.
"what about it?!"
"well, I don't know, Agnes. first it was Lockwood and now it's Tony." Lucy shrugged with a knowing smirk.
"it's not what you think!" except it was.
"shush, you two!" Flo put her index finger over her mouth as she twisted her body to look at the two girls.
