THE CHAPEL DOORS WERE KICKED OPEN BY THE THREE AGENTS,
in response came the loud bang of the wooden doors smashing themselves against the old walls and a sharp sound of clattering metal.

"hear anything?" Lockwood glanced back at his two employees.
"not a sound." Lucy replied and Agnes shook her head instead.
the three continued ahead.

"it's very hot in here" Agnes breathed, gripping on the collar of her red sweater and blowing cold air into her chest.
"it's warm. not hot. someone's been here tonight, but not for a while." Lockwood corrected.

"same shit." Agnes mumbled to herself but her colleagues heard it loud enough.
"oh and look," Lucy pointed and Agnes was the first to speak. "that's his coffin right? Bickerstaff's coffin." Agnes furrowed on her lack of sense on the object.

"I can't sense anything. there's nothing in there." Lucy walked over the coffin.
"oh good, thought I was already losing my abilities." Agnes quipped, her hands on her heart in false exasperation.
Lockwood permitted a small smile form on the corner of his lips. she was coping with George's disappearance and he knew that was why she was acting the way she was.

"well why would she take his body?" Lockwood asked Lucy.
"obviously for a mad experiment. she wants the master to witness whatever they're doing." Lucy replied as they pointed their torches toward the metal broken coffin.

"this is good. they can't have gone far with a body. they must still be here somewhere." Lockwood said, hastily moving towards the father end with a look of determination as his partners moved closely behind him.

"it's locked." Agnes buffed before Lockwood even tried opening the door.
"how do you know?" he asked before rattling it harshly and confirming that the blonde was correct.
"guess." she shrugged her shoulders in an answer.

"but where does it go?" Lucy now looked at her best friend.
"doesn't work like that." Agnes replied as she looked around with her eyes landing on the catafalque.
"when we came here before George said there were catacombs, so there has to be another way down." Lockwood sighed.

"did Saunders ever mention that the catafalque was still functioning?" Agnes placed her hands on the object so that no one could notice her fingers shake.
"look everywhere. there has to be a way to operate it." Lockwood commanded as the three began to scatter around the room.

"Lockwood!" a familiar female voice called out, except it wasn't none of the Lockwood and Co agents, nor was it Flo Bones or even the woman who had kidnapped George.
the three looked behind them where the voice came from.
the three insufferable agents from Kipps team had followed them into the chapel.
Kat Godwin, Bobby Vernon, and Ned Shaw.
but their leader, Quill Kipps was nowhere to be seen near them.

Bobby Vernon and Kat Godwin raised their rapiers once the three agents from the other agency approached.
"where's Kipps? what have you done to him?" Kat questioned with a suspecting look.
oh, that answers it.
"why are you here?" Lockwood questioned at the same time, his voice hoarse and harsh demonstrating his annoyance.
