Summary: Y/n and Vada are friends and when Y/n finds out that Vada sleeps with Mia, she becomes angry and begins to pull away and when Vada doesn't see the big deal, she notices Y/n pulling away from her mentally and tries to rekindle what they have.

Y/n's POV:

I exit out of the dance studio and I see Vada crying, sitting on a rock. I rush over, dropping my bag and heading over.

"Hey, hey—" Vada moves away from me, "Hey, hey, it's just me. Vads— Vads!" I say, cupping her face and forcing her to look at me, "Vads, it's me, let's just relax— take a deep breath in. What's wrong—? Vada, what—what's wrong?" I ask her, worried that something might've happened to her.

"I... Look! Look at this shit!" She says, tapping the screen on her phone and she shows me a notification about a school shooting, "What—? What if my... my sister, my... my baby sister..." She can't even get her words out as she begins to sob, she wraps her arms around me. I hold her tightly, wrapping my arms around her and rubbing her back as I move myself between her legs. Her lying down on the big rock and I slightly fell on top of her but she's more clinging onto me.

"Shh, it's okay, it's gonna be okay. Let me call her, let me call her." I say, she hands me her phone and I type in her password, seeing her messages with Mia. I read a few messages and I feel my heartbreak, I lick my bottom lip and feel tears fall down my face, my hands trembling at the thought of a school shooting happening. I go onto her chat with Amelia and I call her, getting an answer.

"Hello?" I hear Amelia say,

"Amelia?"

"Yes."

"Amelia, are you all right? Is everything okay?" I ask her,

"Yeah, everything's fine. Why?" Amelia questions, "Did I do something?"

"No, no, you didn't do anything, uh, Vada's here, she's a little upset. She just wants to talk, is that okay?" I ask her, hoping that it's okay and seeing Vada grab the phone and begin to calm down the more she talks to her, Vada has her arms around my neck and she clings onto me, resting her hand on my neck whenever she pulls the phone away to sob softly. "Is she okay? Was it her school?" I ask her, quietly, she shakes her head.

"N—No." She denies, I nod my head, biting my bottom lip as Vada continues to talk to Amelia. She soon gets off of the phone with Amelia and she clings onto me, not letting me go. Sobbing into my arms. I rub her back, sitting up and getting her to sit up with me.

"It's okay, it's okay, it's okay. I got you— Vada, I got you. Nothing's gonna happen." I say, pulling away from her but staying close; she rests her hand on my cheek and sobs, I run my hand through her hair, moving her hair out of the way for her. "Nothing's gonna happen to her, I'll make sure of it." I assure her, her nodding her head as her forehead rests against mines.

"I—I'm sorry. I... I was su—supposed to meet Mia and..."

"Mia?" I question, my eyes focusing on her eyes, seeing her eyes move from the ground to meeting my eyes.

"I was gonna say hi to you too."

"But you were here for Mia more." I reply, softly, removing my head from hers, stepping back for a second. "What's been going on with you and Mia?" I ask, turning away from her and facing away as I don't think I could handle the truth looking in her eyes.
