A/N: Wednesday x Reader

Summary: Wednesday and Y/n meet for the first time and they start liking each other but Wednesday wants Enid's approval before asking her sister out and Enid helps her make a cute date where Wednesday asks Y/n out officially.

i realised (after writing it all) this was supposed to be cute but it's actually kinda sad, sorry <3

Wednesday's POV:

I am typing on my typewriter, writing my story that I know is good, and thinking about what it would be like to be able to capture my little annoying brother and finally see if I can electrocute him. I hear the door open yet try to ignore my... colourful roommate.

"Hey, roomie!" I hear Enid bubbly greet me, I clench my jaw, continuing to type but when I realise what I'm trying to say. I slowly turn my head to her but continue to type, "Oh..." I hear her let out, as we make eye contact. "Hi, Weds. My sister's on her way over, is that all right?" Enid asks me, I turn away from her, not bothering to answer. Thing begins to sign,

"Yes, it's fine. Right Wednesday?" Thing signs to ask me, I stare at Thing only for him to quickly move away from me and toward Enid. Hm, that's probably a good idea.

"I suppose, just keep it down." I express to her, she hums softly and nods her head, sitting on her bed and I continue to write. I finish up my page and I set it on the pile of papers, I stand up and grab Thing, going to leave.

"Where are you going?"

"To follow a lead."

"But I wanted you to meet my sister." Enid expresses to me, I pause and turn to look at her. My eyes softening.

"Enid, I..."

"Please, Wednesday? It will be quick, I swear!" Enid pleads, doing that cute pout and big eyes thing she does. I let my shoulders sink a little further, sitting back down on my bed. I wait, patiently to leave. Feeling ridiculous. That is, until I get a little bored waiting and head to the door only to see a girl standing there. I feel my face fall and my cheeks turn a little pink— Am I have an allergic reaction?

"Oh—! Hi, you must be Wednesday." She acknowledges, beaming a beautiful smile. "I'm Enid's little sister, Y/n." She introduces herself, offering her hand.

"Wednesday isn't good at greetings." Enid informs her, now standing beside me. "Anyway, come in, Wednesday was just leaving."

"Oh you were?" She asks me, curiously. Glancing at Enid then locking eyes on me, maintaining eye contact oddly enough very well.

"Yes, I have an important lead to follow on an investigation I'm doing." I answer in reply, hearing her hum softly, biting her lower lip.

"All right, well..." She rests her hand on my shoulder, stepping inside and keeping close to me for a moment. "Please stay safe and don't do anything stupid."

"That's not exactly how I do things, but I appreciate your attempt at trying to express worry towards me." I reply to her, seeing her smiling widely as her head dips lower.

"No problem, I know you're not the biggest fan of emotions so tell me whenever I get too emotional." Y/n expresses to me, offering one hand as to make a deal, I shake her hand.

"That seems like a fair deal." I reply, her hand removing from mines and I move my hand to my side. She heads over to Enid's bed alongside Enid, both girls talking. I see Thing tapping his fingers and I leave, shutting the door.
