Y/n's POV:

I'm sitting in class right now and I hear the door open but I don't look up from my book as it's probably someone late to class, I move to the next page and continue to read, seeing I'm on Chapter 19 now. I glance around the classroom and see everyone's eyes focused on the new girl.

Holy shit...

"...Let's give her a warm lion welcome." The principle says to everyone in the class, what'd I miss? I put my book away and focus on her. I hear someone about to do it but he stops. "Class..." She starts, in a warning tone. Everyone roars unenthusiastically while I shake my head, "So, Phoebe, tell us three things about yourself." She tells her to do, Phoebe glances at her then steps forward, she seems like quite the character.

"Well," She starts, glancing around the room. "I think snakes are the most misunderstood reptiles... my favourite movie vacillates between Deliverance or anything by Rob Reiner... and I'm late." She lists, I narrow my eyes and glance around the room,

"What are you talking about? You're right on time." The principle replies, confused.

"Oh no, Principle Highbridge, my period." She elaborates, taking her pink heart glasses off then turning to the rest of the class, "I'm nine days late." She adds, with a proud smile and a slight nod of her head.

"Oh." The Principle lets out, I snicker quietly.

"And Goddam it, I was on the fence, but I think I might keep it now." She explains to us, glancing around the room, "Because, looking... at all of your beautiful faces..." She sighs contently, shaking her head and resting her hand on her chest, "I'm just so overcome with optimism for our future..." She explains before tutting slightly, her shoulders falling and her smile still staying on her lips. "I just wanna fucking scream." She expresses, chuckling. Before screaming. Many people jumping or surprised at how loud she screamed. I'm impressed. Once she's done, no one says anything for a moment, she shrugs and walks over toward the football player, "Hey, Gingerpop," She greets him, "move your ass and leave the yogurt." She tells him to do, he debates for a moment before standing up, her staring him down and I'm expecting him to do something but nothing. He turns around and walks away, she sits herself down beside me and begins to eat his yogurt contently. I notice a tattoo she has and I dig it, it's a cool small tattoo.

"You crazy bitch." I hear the teacher say, I snicker and go back to reading my book.

What a day already...

***

I'm in the hall and sitting down on the floor in the corridor and I'm reading my book, listening to music and humming. I feel a tap on my shoulder and I turn my music down, looking to the left and seeing the new girl, Phoebe. I've learned that her last name is Atwell.

"Move, bitch." She tells me to do, I shuffle to the right.

"There, that better for you?" I ask in reply, seeing her look at me in slight surprise.

"Jeez, someone's harsh." Phoebe replies, attempting to open her locker but struggling.

"You need some help?" I offer, putting the bookmark in the page I'm on and letting it shut over, I stand up and see her turn to me.
