Hayes POV
"She's going to kill us." I inform Amber, trying to drive as fast as I can without getting in an accident.
"When is that not the case?" She replies leaning on her elbow and looking out the window. "Let's just blame our lateness on me being pregnant like we always do."
It's been about a month since Amber and I have moved in together and she has 3 months to go till her due date. We decided to not find out the gender just because Amber and I are those type of people who like surprises like that.
It's also been a month since Amber found out about Connor dating Jenna and she just hasn't associated with him since. Which is fine by both of us.
"Eh true, and they'll probably be late for our rehearsal dinner too so," I add and Amber grins while admiring her engagement ring. I can't believe this is all happening, Olivia and Will are getting married tomorrow , Amber's having a baby in 3 months, and were getting married soon after that. And hear I was almost a year ago still in the military stalking Amber's instagram.
I pull into the hotel parking lot and we hurry into the room the wedding's taking place.
"Nice of you to join us." Will says looking up from the head of the table where him, Olivia, Amber's parents, and the rest of the wedding party are dining.
"Did we miss it?" Amber wonders.
"Yes, you did miss the rehearsal." Olivia confirms. "But you're just the maid of honor and best man so it doesn't really matter."
"Great, let's eat." Amber says sitting down at the other end of the table totally ignoring her sister's sarcasm. Eh, whatever were just walking down an aisle why would we need to rehearse.
I sit down next to her and see we're across from Will's best friends, Kyle and Mason.
Amber has pretty much given up on healing her and her parent's relationship ever since they didn't show up to her house warming party. Our engagement didn't even do anything. She completely ignores them from the other side of the table. I wish I could help but it's up to them right now.
~•~
It's the day of the wedding and I'm currently in the hotel room that was rented out for the groomsmen to get ready in. I'm wearing a tuxedo and a blue bow tie.
"You ready for this dude?" I ask Will who's in a white suit and the same color blue flower pinned on.
"Hell yes." Will replies.
"Bro, are you sure you wanna be tied down in this thing called marriage?" Mason asks from the bed where he and Kyle and taking "bro selfies".
"Sounds a little better than fucking every girl you see then not remembering anything in the morning." I retort shrugging.
