Chapter 41: You have no friends

Alexis taps her pen against the worn pages of the book in her lap. She sighs, slamming the book shut. She couldn't read it anyway.

"Dude, do you mind not eating those on my bed?" Sam asks, looking at Dean, who sat across the room.

"No, I don't mind." Dean shakes his head. "How's the research going?"

"You know how its going? Slow. You know how it would go a heck of a lot faster? If I had my computer."

"Mm."

Alexis huff, standing up and pulling her laptop out of her bag. She sets it in front of Sam. "If I find porn on here when I get it back, you're dead. Now, for the love of God, shut up."

Dean chuckles causing Alexis to glare at him.

"Thin ice, buddy. Both of you." She sinks back into her seat.

"Can you turn that down, please?" Sam asks Dean.

"Yeah, absolutely." Dean nods, turning the music up louder.

"You know what? Maybe, uh...Maybe you should just go somewhere for a while, huh?." Sam suggests.

"Hey, I'd love to. That's a great idea. Unfortunately, my cars all screwed to hell."

"I told you I had nothing to do--"

"Shut the hell up. Both of you. God, I can't take this whining and arguing." Alexis stands up. "I'm so close to killing both of you." She yells. "Or better yet, why don't I cut your tongues out? Then you can't annoy the crap outta me."

"Oh, don't do that, Alex. If you cut Deans tongue out then he can't stick it down your throat."

Before Alexis could reply a knock at the door grabs their attention. Alexis takes a deep breath, moving toward the door. "If its another noise complaint, I swear to god, I will cut your balls off." She points back at the two. Alexis opens the door. "Hey, Bobby."

"I heard yelling. Everything okay?" Bobby asks, stepping inside.

"Far from it."

"Hey, Bobby." The Winchester brothers call out.

"Its good to see you three so soon."

"Thanks for coming." Sam nods.

"Thank God you're here." Dean says.

"So what didn't you wanna talk to me on the phone about?" Bobby asks.

"Its this job we're working, we--" Sam chuckles. "We weren't sure you'd believe it."

Bobby laughs. "Well, I can believe a whole lot."

"No, yeah, yeah. I know. Its just, we've never seen anything like it."

"Not even close." Dean adds.

"I've never heard about anything like this, it's weird." Alexis shrugs, sitting down.

"We thought we could use some fresh eyes." Sam continues.

"Well, why don't you begin at the beginning?" Bobby shrugs his shoulders.
