Meeting The Family/ Chapter seventeen

(The outfit she wore for the day)

The next morning I awoke to the annoying, blaring sound of my alarm. I grabbed my phone to shut it off. It was 7am and Niall and I had to get dressed to meet everyone in the breakfast room downstairs. I rolled over finally looking for his presence, only to find he wasn't there.

"Babe?" I called out, then I heard the toilet flush.

"Morning beautiful" Niall said as he walked out of the bathroom.

"Good morning" I said as I sat up and smiled at his comment. He walked over to me and kissed me on the forehead.

"How long have you been up?" I asked as I crawled out of the bed.

"Not long, like 5 minutes before your phone alarm went off" he said as I walked to the bathroom and he sat on the bed. I nodded in response, closed the door and proceeded to do my business.

"So are you excited to meet my family today?" He asked as I came out of the bathroom after washing my hands. I was a little nervous but still so excited at the same time.

"Yes, but let's get through this breakfast first and pray that the girls don't try to drag me away" I said as I chuckled and walked to the closet to find something to wear.

"Definitely" Niall said as he laughed along with me.

"So what do you plan to wear?" I asked him as I searched through everything I had brought. I was trying find an outfit that was appropriate for a simple breakfast with my parents, and also spending the rest of my day with my boyfriend's family for the first time.

"I don't know. Shorts and a shirt?" Niall said as he shrugged his shoulders. I looked at him in disbelief.

"Seriously? You're not gonna at least get a little dressed up, I mean you haven't seen them in years. Don't you think they'd like it?" I said as I pulled out three dresses to decide from.

"Exactly they haven't seen me in years trust me they're not going to care what I'm wearing. Honestly they're not gonna care what you're wearing either, they're just gonna be happy to meet somebody close to me." He said as I decided on my blue flower print dress and my blue flats.

"Well I'm getting dressed up I know they'll like it" I said as I put the other two dresses back in the closet.

"No babe, that's gonna make me have to get dressed up" he whined.

"It won't kill you" I said as pulled out a black bra and matching pair of underwear.

"But that's means I'm going to have to pick it out" he whined again.

"It's OK I'll do it babe" I said as began looking through his clothes.

"What about these jean shorts and this shirt?" I asked as I pulled out the outfit. His shirt matched my dress but it wasn't obvious that it matched.

"It's fine I don't care either way" he said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"Fine then wear this" I said as placed it on the bed and went to the bathroom to shower.

"Where're you going?" He asked as I walked away.

"I'm going to take my shower." I said as I continued to walk away.

"Want me to join you?" He asked then winked.

"Oh my God, no we have to meet everyone in the breakfast room in a hour and a half" I said as I opened the bathroom door.

"Exactly if we take a shower together less time in the bathroom" he said as he raised his eyebrows. I didn't respond, I shook my head no and closed the door. I heard him chuckle as I locked the door. After about an hour, I was dressed, applying my makeup and Niall was in the shower. My phone rang as I was putting on my mascara.
