The First Date\Chapter Three

*Next Night*

After I got home from class it was about 6:30. I decided to take a shower before dressing for the date with Niall. I was kind of nervous cause I really like him. I was in my room for about an hour dressing, applying coco butter mixed with tea tree oil to my light bright skin, and makeup that matched my dress. 7:45 came around when Niall texted

"I'm on my way you're dressed right?" I texted back yea & went downstairs. My mom was sitting in the kitchen when she saw me through the doorway.

"Awww you look so cute!" She said raising her hands and placing them on her cheeks. Red raised to my cheeks at her words.

"Thanks mom." My heart pounded as I heard a knock at the door, I turned around to answer it.

"Hey gorgeous" Niall said looking me up and down. I smiled in response.

"Come meet my mom" I said as I pulled him in the house. 

"Sure" he said as he followed me in the house.

"Mom come meet Niall" I said and she came out of the kitchen. 

"Hello, Mrs. Mitchell. I'm Niall" he said as he stretched out his hand.

"Hi. It's nice to meet you" she said as she took his hand to shake it. 

"You can just call me Miss Lisa. I don't used my married name anymore" she told him. He nodded in response.

"Our reservations are at 8:30 so we should go." I turned around, said goodbye to my mom as Niall took my hand and pulled me out the door.

When we got to the restaurant, it was a little place but I could tell it was Italian. We walked in, Niall gave his name to the guy at the podium and we were lead to our table. I sat in my seat legs crossed and played with my fingers.

"So how was your day?" I nervously asked.

" It was good" he said. He seemed just as nervous as me. He kept staring at me though. I'll admit I kind of liked it.

"That's good" I said. It was clear that making small talk was helping either of us with our nervousness. It was weird. We were both so comfortable with each other at the party. Probably cause we were drunk. It was silent for about a minute until the waitress came to our table.

"Good evening sir, ma'am. Can I start you two off with some drinks?" She asked.

"Two cola's please" Niall simply and quickly said then continued staring at me.

"No problem, I'll be right back with that" he said and quickly walked away.

"Ok I have something I need to say" Niall said. I was a little shocked but I was ready for what he was going to say.

"Ok" I simply responded as I waited to hear what he had to say.

"I-I know we've only know each other a little while but I really like you, more then I've ever liked any other girl". He sighed nervously as he put his head down then looked back at me.

"I-I want you to be my girlfriend." I looked at him, mouth slightly a gape as I sat back in my chair. I was a little shocked by his words. Before I could answer the waitress popped back up at our table.

"Ok here are your drinks" she said.

"Are you two ready to order?" She asked.

"Give us a minute" Niall said. After she walked away he pulled a small box out of his pocket, I looked at it as my eyes widened then I looked back at him. He opened the box, it was a silver necklace with a heart shaped pendant. He pulled the necklace out of the box, stood up walked around the table, stood behind my chair and placed the necklace around my neck. He clasped it closed as the heart fell on my chest. He bent over and whispered in my ear.

"Please be mine." He gently rubbed my shoulders, then walked back around and set down. He stared at me now with fear in his eyes because I hadn't answered him yet. I knew I liked Niall but I wasn't sure if I wanted to be in a new relationship yet, not after my last one.

"Please say something" Niall said. I took a deep breath, placed my hand on the pendent that laid on my chest as I looked at it and let the words flow from my mouth.

"O-ok" I stuttered quietly.

"Ok what?" I could here the slight fear in his voice.

"Ok I'll be your girlfriend." A heavy grin came over his face as he stood up, leaned over the table, gently pulled my face to his, and kissed me. As the night went on there was nothing but kisses and shared laughs. The fact that I was his girlfriend excited and scared me. What if he was like my ex, but what if this was finally it for me what if he was the one. After a few hours we had decided it was getting late and it was time to go. Niall paid and we walked back to his car fingers entwined.

When we got back to my house he walked me to my door holding my hand. As we stood in front of my door he kissed my lips so gently. My purse fell to the ground as I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his hair. He gripped the lower curve of my back and pulled me closer to him until there was no space in between us. After a minute or two he pulled back from our passionate kiss but still held onto me.

"Stay at my place tonight?" he asked sort of breathlessly.

"I have to go in the house my mom is waiting for me" I kissed him once more as he reluctantly released my waist.

"I'll text you later" he said as he started walking back to his car.

"Ok" I said pushing the door open and walking in.

"Fun night?" my mom asked as I stumbled in.

"Great night" I said showing her the necklace and sitting on the couch next to her.

"So you and Niall now?" I nodded happily.

"Don't you think you guys are moving a little too fast?" She asked.

"Sort of but I really like him." I said with a big grin on my face.

"Are you sure you're ready for something new? I mean you still have nightmares about your last relationship." A heavy frown came over my face wondering why she would bring that up.

"He told me he just wants to protect me, I don't think he'd ever hurt me." She shook her head in agreement.

"Let's hope not." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well I'm tired, I'm going to go to bed." She nodded her head then I went upstairs. When I got in my room I got a text, I looked at my phone it was Niall.

"I'm so happy you're mine, goodnight my gorgeous girlfriend." A big grin came over my face.

"And I'm happy I'm yours too, goodnight my sexy boyfriend" I threw my phone on the bed, undressed, put a t-shirt on, took my make-up off, and snuggled into bed.
