The Proposal/Chapter Thirty Eight

About two months had passed, since I had gotten the news about Conner. I hate to say it but things couldn't have been greater. I hadn't had any calls from random people, except maybe telemarketers. No random visits from strangers. Things were just good. My pregnancy was going amazing. Other then the constant wanting to eat, I wasn't really having any problems. (AN: True story. My pregnancy with Josh was kind of breeze). School was going amazing. I was getting closer and closer to graduation and I couldn't be more excited. We had face timed Niall's family and told them about the baby. They were extra excited. His mother more than anyone. I had finally sat down and written my own song. It was about Niall and the baby, who we recently found out was a girl! Niall and I were beyond happy and excited. I had moved into Niall's place. It just made sense. I was there all the time and most of my stuff was there anyway. Everything was bliss. I was at home, doing homework, snacking on M&Ms, and cooking dinner, when Niall came home.

"Baby!?" He called as he came in the house.

"I'm in here!" I shouted from the kitchen table. He walked in, grabbed my face and kissed me.

"I missed you" he said after we broke the kiss.

"I missed you too" I told him as I smiled and got up to check the chicken and the cornbread in the oven.

"What are you cooking?" He asked as he sat down.

"Oven fried chicken" I said as I cut into it to see if it was done. It wasn't.

"Oh yum" he said as he rubbed his hands together.

"With what?" He asked.

"Cornbread, rice, and broccoli" I said as I went to the stove to stir the broccoli and rice again.

"Good. I can't wait!" He said excitedly as I sat down and tried to finish my homework.

"How are you feeling today baby girl?" He asked.

"I'm ok. Your daughter has been sleeping all day" I told him as I rubbed my belly.

"Really?" He said as he put his hand on my belly too.

"Well remember she was up all night, kicking up a storm" I said then popped a handful of crispy m&ms in my mouth.

"So no problems today?" He asked.

"Nope none at all" I said as I shook my head no.

"Good" he said as he rubbed his legs. He seemed weird, like he was nervous.

"Are you ok baby?" I asked him.

"You seem like something is wrong." I said.

"No nothing's wrong" he simply said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"So what's up then?" I asked as I went to turn on off the broccoli and the rice.

"I have to ask you something" he said nervously.

"Ok" I said as I sat down.

"You know I love you right? With all of me and everything I am?" He asked. He still seemed really nervous. He starting to scare me.

"Yes. I love you too baby" I said. He was silent for a second.

"Baby what is it?" I said as I smiled and grabbed his hands.

"I need you" he simply said.

"I'm right here babe" I said then sat on top of him. Leaning back as far as I could so I wouldn't hurt Aria.

"No I need you for the rest of my life. I need you with me, next to me, right by my side until the day I die" he said as he grabbed my face.

"Niall, I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere" I said as looked him deep in the eyes.
