Instead of avoiding Sakusa, you completely ignored him. If he didn't want to interact with you, then fine. But you weren't going to put any extra effort into helping him with that.
At first he felt like he had won, he'd gotten what he'd wanted. But it got old, fast.
You'd sometimes pass each other, but it was if you looked right through him, like he wasn't even there. He didn't like that. Not one bit.
"Motoya,"
He pulled his cousin aside into a secluded area, being careful to make sure you weren't nearby.
"What's up with him?"
Komori furrowed his brow,
"Who?""(F/n) (l/n), who else?"
Komori put a finger to his chin,
"I'm not really sure, I haven't noticed anything different. Have you?""He's been ignoring me,"
"Isn't that what you wanted?"
He paused for a moment.
"Pretend I didn't ask,"And then he left, leaving his cousin just a tad bit confused.
Eventually, he decided to confront you.
"Is there a reason you've been acting like I don't exist?"
You clicked your tongue,
"I already told you, we don't need to interact more than we need. Unless that is, if you'd like to apologize,""Me? Why would I apologize?"
You sighed,
"That's what I thought you'd say,"Then leaving him behind to talk with his cousin. Was this really what he wanted? What he sought after? Why did it hurt when you looked at him with anger in your eyes? He began to miss his kindness, and you plagued his thoughts until your last day in Tokyo.
"Are things still rough with you and him?"
You packed your items into your bag,
"Yeah. Maybe ignoring him wasn't the play here. But there's not much I can do now,"You turned around and gave Komori a smile,
"Thanks for being so great during all of this. I really couldn't have asked for a better host,"He blushed at your words,
"It's no problem!"•
Sakusa had enough. After some time ruminating over everything, he decided that even if he didn't want to, he had to apologize. It didn't matter who he believed was in the right, he just wanted you to see him, to look at him with the same kind eyes as you used to.
But it seemed as if he was too late. He got to his cousin's house to learn you had already left for Miyagi. He ran to the bus stop in hopes of catching you on your way there, but he made it just in time to watch it leave.
He sat on the ground, defeated. But just as he started to come to terms with it, he heard a familiar voice behind him.
"You know I wouldn't leave you behind willingly, right Kiyoomi?"
You extended your hand, and he accepted, letting you help him onto his feet. He let out a sigh before speaking,
"Yeah... I know. I was just..."You bit the bullet and gave him a hug.
"It's alright, you don't need to explain anything,"
After a moment's hesitation, he hugged you back.
"You're leaving again soon, aren't you?"
You smiled warmly, even if he couldn't see it, he could tell.
"Yeah,"Comfortable silence engulfed the two of you, making it feel like you were the only people in the world at that moment.
"YOU GUYS THAT WAS SO HEARTWARMING!"
A moved Komori came out of his hiding spot, joining in on the hug.
The bus approached, confusing the masked volleyball player.
"I thought-"
"That was a different bus,"
The vehicle's door opened, and before you entered, Sakusa stopped you. You turned toward him, watching him pull his mask off. Komori watched as he whispered something into your ear, making you grin ear to ear.
You waved goodbye as the bus drove on, and Komori couldn't help but question what his cousin had told you.
"It's a secret,"
