I WAS PLANNING ON HAVINF ONE OF THEM DROWN LAST CHAPTER BUT I DECIDED AGAINST IT

The short boy was the first first year to wake, rubbing his tired eyes as he sat up. He looked to his side, only to see you were gone. He shook the other boy in the tent.

"Hey. Hey Yamaguchi! Are you awake yet?"

The other boy groaned as he was awoken.

"I am now... what is it?"

The orange haired boy shook the freckled male,
"(F/n)'s gone!"

Yamaguchi groaned again,
"He's probably just setting something up again... I'm gonna go back to sleep,"

While Yamaguchi is was okay with letting you setup by yourself, Hinata wasn't. It was a mix of being bored and wanting to spend time with you that drove him out of the tent, searching for you.

He found you not too far from the camp, sitting on a foldable chair next to Takeda.

"Hey (l/n) senpai, what're you doing?"

You tilted your head to see Hinata walking closer to you.

You reeled your fishing line in,
"I'm fishing. Wanna try?"

He nodded excitedly.

You patted your legs, inviting him to sit on your lap. He did just that, and grabbed onto the fishing rod. You wrapped your arms around his, helping him hold onto the heavy pole.

"To cast it, just flick it like... this!"

You helped him cast his line, and with a satisfying splash, your bait made it into the water.

He looked up at you,
"What do we do now?"

You rested your chin on his head, causing him to slightly blush,
"We wait!"

After a few minutes, the boy sitting on your lap was getting restless, and you could tell. You just kept hoping a fish would take the bait, not wanting to have an annoyed first year on your lap for the rest of eternity.

That's when Hinata felt it. The pull. The tugging of the fishing line.

"SENPAI! I GOT ONE!"

You grabbed onto his hands, helping him pull the fishing rod back.

"KEEP PULLING! WE'VE ALMOST GOT IT. REEL IT IN!"

He reeled the line back in, and as you pulled back, you saw it. A large fish that had bit onto the hook.

It landed on the ground, and flailed around, flipping for dear life. You quickly put it in a large box of ice, closing it.

"Nice catch Hinata! We can eat that for dinner!"

You heard the growling of stomachs.

"Speaking of food... how about some breakfast?"

While breakfast was being eaten, you decided to look at what was planned for the day.

"I think it'd be a good idea to go to that prehistoric safari first. Does that sound good?"

With full mouths they all nodded in agreement.

"We have a plan then. I'm gonna make sure everything's ready before we leave,"

You walked away, and as soon as you were out of earshot, the other campers started to talk.

Yamaguchi was the first to speak,
"He's so mature, isn't he? And he's only a second year!"
