"And then I almost fell off a cliff! Anyways, how's your day been going, Kiyoomi?"

"I'm doing fine, I've been getting better,"
He replied, thankful you couldn't see his smile over the phone.

"That's good to hear. Hey, if Karasuno every goes against your school, we should totally get food afterwards! I could get my parents to drive you back!"

"That sounds nice. I miss you,"
He himself couldn't believe he'd say something like that.

"Aw, I miss you too! We'll meet up again sometime, I know it! I've got to go to a client now, I'll call you soon, alright?"

"Okay, have fun, (y/n),"

You smiled at your phone,
"Bye Kiyoomi! And tell Komori I said hi too!"

"I will,"

You both hung up at the same time, and while you immediately began to move towards your next task, Sakusa stood in place for a while, letting the whole call process through his mind.

Did he really say that he missed you? Why would he do that?! I mean it was the truth, but still!

He sat down on his bed with a sigh, quickly texting his cousin about your message to him before tossing his phone somewhere else on his bed.

Things would've been a lot easier if you'd never left Tokyo.

"Kiyoomi! I'm here in Tokyo!"
You yelled while running and waving towards your childhood friend.

He stood still in shock as you approached him, putting an arm around his shoulder once you'd gotten to him.

"I'm here for the weekend, and your parents said I could stay at your place! You wanna get food? Oh wait, you have volleyball proactive right now, right?"

"How did you even get into the school?"
He asked, almost in disbelief.

"Oh I frowned at the security guard and he felt bad enough to let me in,"

He decided to ignore your answer.

"It'll be over soon, just..."

He put your hands on your shoulders and dragged you over to a shady corner in the gym.

"Don't let anyone else see you,"
He cautioned.

A mischievous smirk formed on your face,
"Why not? Are you embarrassed of me?"

"You know that's not why. If you get caught then you'll have to wait outside the school and..."

He brought his voice to a whisper, averting your eyes,
"I want you to watch me play,"

Silence ensued, causing him to look at you and found that you had the biggest most shit eating grin he'd ever seen.

"Forget it, you can wait outside,"
He grumbled.

"I'm sorry Kiyoomi! It's just that you were so sincere, and I haven't seen you like that since before I left. I missed that, how close we were,"
