God, Taehyung's body felt numb.
"Thank God those fucking exams ended." He breathed out, leaning against the back of his couch.
"Not the last ones, though." Soyeon said, sitting on the floor across him, joint in her hand. "When's that party again?"
Taehyung hummed, looking around for his phone to check the time. "Like, tonight around midnight or something." He said that and threw it back at the table.
Soyeon breathed out the smoke of her joint. "Y'know, I heard this guy has the second biggest dorm here. A literal penthouse." She fakely pouted, tapping her joint.
"And guess who's got the biggest one." He let out a low chuckle, standing up to grab a bottle of water from his fridge. It was the afternoon the next day, and Soyeon had been over at Taehyung's for a while since they felt like sharing thoughts. Taehyung's dorm was not the smallest one, but not the biggest one either, so it was acceptable to be living in.
"The fact you've been and slept there though." Soyeon yelled out loud, laughing after, "Oh god, how did you guys not fuck back then?"
"Does he seem like the type to fuck me to you?" He furrowed his eyebrows, hand on the door. "No, exactly." And let the door close.
Soyeon chuckled, taking another drag from her joint. "Fair point. He's got that 'I'm too cool for that' vibe, but hey, you never know what goes on behind closed doors."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Believe me, Soyeon, he's not my type. Plus, we've got this weird frenemy thing going on. I doubt we'd survive more than ten minutes in the same room without killing each other."
Soyeon reached out to get a can he's brought out. "I mean, you know how it goes in college. People fuck here and there and don't really talk about it after." She took a sip, checking again what she was drinking. "You really just gave me apple juice?"
"Do I look like I can afford tequila, Soyeon?" He opened his own can, staring somewhere in his small, yet cosy, living room. "He's a friend of mine."
"Minnie is also a friend." She tilted her head.
"Didn't you guys, like, make out yesterday?"
Her tongue clicked. "Exactly."
Taehyung tch-ed and laid down on the floor, using her lap as a pillow. "I need to get wasted by any means. Fucking, I feel so drained."
"Oh Taehyung-ssi," She ran her long nails across his hair, giving him pleasure. "Socialise more. You're my little introvert; however, you have the opportunity now. We are going to be in a very crowded place tonight, so prepare yourself for that." She poked his nose with her free hand.
"People in college don't care as much about your sexuality as they did in high school, so be free and embrace yourself." She stated it matter-of-factly.
"High school bullies are really something," Taehyung licked his lips, zoning out somewhere. Then, as he continued to zone out, a sudden flashback caused him to jump slightly, pulling away. "I'm fine," he replied, assuring Soyeon.
Soyeon leaned back, studying Taehyung's expression. "You sure about that? High school scars can run deep, you know. But hey, college is a fresh start. People are usually more open-minded here."
Taehyung forced a smile, appreciating Soyeon's concern. "I know, and I'm trying. It's just... high school left its mark, you know? I don't want to be defined by my past."
"I mean it." She gave him a genuine look while he was still sitting on the floor. "As I told you, people mind their own business, or at least most of them," she sighed as she ran her hand through her greyish hair. They have flings, fuck around, hang out, and everything." She nodded while talking. ''Yet somehow Jeon is still called a fuckboy; that's so high school-lish.''
