Taehyung was woken up by the loud alarm coming out of his phone. He couldn't describe how glad he wasn't forgetting to set it the previous night because there was surely no way to naturally wake up this early in the morning.
''Why do the classes begin so early? Fucking hell.'' He asked himself in the usual raspy morning voice he had, rubbing his eyes to wake up faster.
The boy moved away from the cover and dragged his body to the bathroom, where he was going to do his everyday routine. The shower was the only salvation for him to open his eyes wider and get back to his normal senses. While washing his body with the sweet scent of soap, he wondered how his first day would go.
It was his dream to be at a university where he could focus on music and skills like dancing, singing, and everything else an artist would be able to do. The thoughts of his classmates also disturbed him. Surely, there were going to be big talents. Some of them would be better at dancing; others would be better at singing, producing, or rapping.
It was going to be a whole competition.
''You can do it, Kim.'' Taehyung couraged himself and positioned himself right under the head of the shower, cold water cleaning the soap from his body.
The next few free minutes he got were used for cleaning his face, making a quick morning coffee to fully wake up, and eating an apple as he was on a strict diet.
It was around fifteen past seven when he got ready with everything needed, mostly a charged phone and a notebook to take notes on what the teachers would be informing them about today.
He tied his hair that had gotten longer for the past few months, looked himself in the mirror above his desk, and breathed out. ''Come on, Taehyung, you can do it. Pave the way and put your back into it.'' The boy sang and reached out to touch the frame he had put on one of the shelves in his bedroom. ''Tell us why, show us how,'' His finger touched the picture of him in the middle of high school, still when he was in good condition with his parents.
''Look at where you came from,'' He looked up at the mirror and very slightly smirked. ''Look at you now.'' Then he stared once again and broke his character: "That was hell weird." And grabbed his drink to get out, then back again, "Don't be weird at college, Taehyung." He pointed at himself in the mirror, and then he existed.
Taehyung was already heading to the right hall; thankfully, the kind woman who helped him find it was earlier. The first class he had was supposed to be with his head teacher and the basics of Cheong A University and the rules.
Basically, it was going to be a boring class.
Before he followed the other students in the big classroom, his eyes found a list with the students in the class right taped on the door. He waited for the students to get in so he could peacefully read the names, even if he didn't remember them.
''Min Yoongi, Jeon Soyeon, Bae Joo-hyun.' Taehyung whispered to himself, trailing his finger through all the twenty-six students. It was uncomfortable to read all the names, so he just took a photo of it to look at later.
He sat himself on one of the free chairs, not too close or far from the teacher's spot. He leaned his body against the chair and looked up at the ceiling, already preparing for the boring class. ''You gotta be fucking kidding me.'' He bit his inner cheek, and the moment his eyes narrowed to the door, the boy he least expected to be in the same class as him The bells rang already, and the doors were supposed to be close. Who the fuck would let him in? he thought.
He saw that coky smile on one of the boys he was talking with, and when he also turned, they made a quick, disgusted eye contact. ''You.'' Jeongguk breathed out, left his bag hopelessly in Jimin's hands, and raised an eyebrow at Taehyung. ''What do you think you are doing in my class?''
