Chapter 29: Power surge

It was night time in Metropolis, and Livewire was attacking the power plant, as Supergirl was there to stop her.

Livewire: Give it up, Supergirl. Can't you see the spotlight belongs to me?

Supergirl: Then I guess I better cut the power!

She launched an air vent at her, but she was able to dodge.

Supergirl: [to the workers] Are you guys okay? [zapped by Livewire]

As Livewire was about to attack Supergirl again, Supergirl threw a steel beam at her, causing her to crash into electrical equipment. Suddenly, she started to absorb the electricity, as she began to power up!

Livewire: Ooh!

Soon, she was supercharged!

Livewire: Ooh, am I amped up! [laughs boisterously] Ready for a power surge, Supergirl?!

She then shot herself into the air and blasted a huge jolt of electricity as Supergirl!

Supergirl: [screams]

Soon, the smoke cleared, and all that was left was a smoking crater.

Livewire: Whoa.

Later, at the base, Ash, N, and the girls were watching the devastating news.

New reporter: A grim scene here in Metropolis tonight...

Livewire: Woo-hoo! Can you believe it? [laughs]

News reporter: ...as it appears, our own Superman Girl is no more.

Livewire: Best day ever! Yeah! Seriously, ladies and gents. Call me the Kryptonian crusher, coz I just blasted Stupid-girl into oblivion! Woo-hoo!

N: [sadly sighs] This can't be.

Zee: [sniffs] How will we go on without her?

Ash: [cries] She's gone! My big sis is gone! This is all my fault! [cries]

Pikachu: [sad] PIKA PI!

Lita: There there, Ash! It wasn't your fault!

Ash: Wasn't my fault?! I shouldn't've let her fly this one solo! And now she's gone! [cries]

Zee: [hugs Ash] [comforts Ash] There there, Ash!

Pikachu: [comforting] PIKA PI!

Incineroar: [crying] ROAR!

Aerodactyl: [crying] AER!

Trapinch: [crying] TRAPINCH!

Rockruff (Krypto Jr.): [crying] [howling]

N: [sad] I know, my friends. I'm sad too.

Jessica: It's like I can feel her spirit with us, even now.

Amy: I know what you mean.

That's when they heard a soda can open, as they saw Supergirl sitting next to them all burnt.

Everyone: [hugs her] Supergirl!

Zee: You're alive!

Karen: You smell like fire!

Ash: Don't you ever scare me like that ever again, big sis!

Supergirl: [sighs] I'll try, li'l bro.

Incineroar: [overjoyed] CINEROAR!

Aerodactyl: [overjoyed] AERO!

Trapinch: [overjoyed] TRAPINCH!

Rockruff (Krypto Jr.): [overjoyed] ROCKRUFF!
