"Of course not. Go ahead."
He took a bite of the fish and closed his eyes. She took this as a sign that he wouldn't eye her down, but was undoubtedly mistaken. She had pulled off her tank top and placed it near the fire so that it could dry.
Not noticing that Hisoka's eyes were grazing over her figure, she took off her shorts and walked towards the water. Dipping her fragile feet in, he managed to get a full-eye view of her toned back muscles, hidden under her sports bra. She settled into the water, leaving her undergarments on.
She faced him with partially bare shoulders. "Did you look?"
"No," he said, but a hint of cheekiness rang in his voice. She sighed and relaxed into the water. It wasn't too cold, somewhat bearable. It was about two meters deep and didn't lead anywhere far. She settled in, closing her eyes and soaking into the feeling.
It was only a few minutes later when she noticed a presence behind her, and she looked up. He stood there, shirtless and his yellow sweater wrapped around his hips.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked almost as a command, taking off his pants and sliding into the water next to her.
She had no objections as he lowered himself beside her, staring off into the distance. She smiled and leaned her head back on the grass behind her, her body dragging with her. She noticed him staring down at her chest, his face in a dumb smirk. In an instant, she dived down into the water and popped back up with frantic apologies. He chuckled at her antics and touched her cheek lightly, causing it to turn pink.
He moved closer to her, and she didn't stop him. His arm wrapped around her toned shoulder, pressing their hips together. She instinctively leaned her head on his shoulder, causing him to shiver a little.
"Delilah."
"Mm," she responded, closing her eyes.
He said nothing and only looked down at his shaking hand. "Fascinating..."
"Hm?" She looked up at him, his honey-gold eyes growing smaller as he grinned at her.
"Oh, nothing. Just enjoying this moment. With you."
She laughed lightly and pushed him away gently. Noticing how rough his skin felt under her palm, she instinctively drew her attention to his upper half. "Wow," she breathlessly drew out.
He smiled. "Quite pleasing to the eye of a woman, wouldn't you agree?"
She blushed profusely and looked at the water away from him. "I guess."
Her gaze returned to his face, and then back to his bare chest. But what caught her attention now was the wound on his right shoulder. He looked at her a bit puzzled and then turned to where she eyed him. "Oh, this is nothing to fret over. Do not concern yourself, my dear."
That didn't convince her. She looked around and spotted her overcoat.
"Give me a moment. I'll be right back."
"Alright then," he lulled as she stepped out of the water, and grabbed medical cloth out of her pocket, along with tape. The small compartments she had hemmed into the overcoat was more useful than she predicted.
Hisoka still had his gaze fixated on the sky above as she dipped herself back into the water, laying the cloth and tape on the side of the water. "Now stay still."
He did as he was told, and she drew out the cloth. He watched her wrap it around his shoulder tenderly, and secure it with a few pieces of tape. The smile he wore never left his face as she finished, chucking the tape back over to her clothes.
