Two weeks had gone by since they arrived at the hotel. Lilah had gotten word from Gon and Killua that they would be arriving in Yorknew City as well, so she made the effort to see them as soon as possible. What else could she do? She loved those boys.

That meant that Lilah had to kill another two weeks before then. It was currently August 22nd, nine days before Hisoka met with the Phantom Troupe.

Lilah had just finished making dinner and was prepping the dining table. Hisoka had taken an unusually long shower but would appear before her only a few moments later.

She instantly noticed his sharp black suit, eyes lingering longer to admire his distinguished manner. Never had she seen a man look so elegant yet cunning all at once.

"Formal attire is such an irritation to put together," he sighed, trying to loosen the collar.

She stepped toward him and shook her head. "You look very sophisticated. It suits you well."

With a gentle adjustment of his tie and bringing his collar around his blazer, he chuckled. "Thank you, darling."

He kissed her softly and looked at the table she had decked full of delicious food.

"You're full of surprises, aren't you," he smirked, looking down at her glowing complexion. He couldn't resist bending down to her lips once more.

"So, mind explaining where you're off to?" She questioned, tugging on his tie playfully.

"Something to attend to. I won't be long."

"Are you sure?" Her delicate finger traced down his suit, getting painfully close to his groin.

He hesitated for a second, but quickly stopped her finger from getting any farther. "Ah, ah. You've had enough excitement these last few days. Do try to resist carnal desires while I'm away."

"Are you implying that I can't satisfy myself without your assistance?"

A wide smile appeared on his face. "I wouldn't dare miss witnessing you in such a vulnerable position."

Grabbing his tie, she jerked him forward. "Cancel your plans, then."

"You make it so difficult to resist," he faltered but relaxed after she let out a laugh.

"I'm messing with you. Eat something before you leave, I wouldn't want my hard work going to waste."

The two enjoyed a silent dinner together, with Lilah leaning on the doorframe of their suite mere moments after they had finished.

"I won't be long," Hisoka mused. "There's a casino left of the hotel's foyer. If it is of interest to you, try your hand at some of those pointless tables. We do have Jenny to spare."

Lilah quirked an eyebrow. "Are you implying that I'd lose?"

He smirked and planted his lips on her forehead. "Of course not."

Slipping into a composite jacket and her favorite thigh-highs, she accompanied Hisoka to the foyer, who paused as they stepped out of the elevator. "I'll be less than two hours. Entertain yourself gracefully, my dear."

With a quick kiss, they parted ways, Lilah walking towards the direction of the casino.

"Good evening ma'am."

Her eyes met the man who stood before the velvet double door, a faint smile on his lips. "Welcome to The Velvet Vault. This is our hotel's high-roller lounge. Buy-ins start at five million or higher, I caution you to understand the risk of losing all of your Jenny at this location. If you'd prefer a less competitive atmosphere, I'd suggest visiting the third floor. Our low-stakes casino is preferred for beginners."
