Her eyes darted wide open as the room fell into complete darkness. It was at this moment that the Chrollo had a delayed reaction speed for the entirety of a singular second, and that was all Kurapika needed.

In the fragment of a second Lilah kicked his body away pillar, and straight into Kurapika's chain jail. His eyes widened as his entire body became restrained, being pulled towards the entrance of the hotel.

As Kurapika made his exit, he handed Lilah a dagger with parchment attached to it. She adjusted her vision to where Killua and Gon were attempting to free themselves and leaped back to pin the dagger directly on the pillar beside them.

She followed close behind Kurapika and Chrollo, making sure that no one was on their trail. Melody, Kurapika's colleague was standing near the vehicle Leorio was driving, urging them to hurry.

Chrollo said nothing as Kurapika yanked him into the backseat of a white car. Lilah looked back at the hotel, a worried expression as Gon and Killua had not yet managed to escape their capture.

The car sped through the rain, a downpour making the roads slippery and prone to hydroplaning. With a deep sigh, she looked to her right, where Kurapika eyed the road ahead.

He removed the chains retraining Chrollo's speech, yet no words came out of his mouth.

She stared out of the window, not staying silent as Kurapika explained that the Troupe wouldn't make any moves to follow them with a number of their members injured.

Chrollo was provoking the blonde as she stared bleakly out at the roads beside her, not bothering to give him her attention.

He let out a scoff as Kurapika settled down after being slugged harshly in the jaw.

"I never would have thought it was you."

Lilah turned her head in his direction. "Oh?"

"I guess you and Hisoka are alike," he chuckled. "I shouldn't trust appearances so easily."

She looked at him blankly. "It is human nature to want to feel secure by words that offer the truth. My deception lies within the innocent you murdered in the auction hall the previous night."

She turned to his face, trying to find his eyes. "One fatal mistake."

He said nothing, and stared forward, his expression blank.

"I take it back. You and Hisoka share no such resemblance."

Kurapika stayed silent, monitoring his own emotions. Lilah on the other hand, had a growing irritation plastered on her face. "Do not let him provoke you," the chain user urged.

Her heart rate spiked at his words, gritting her teeth sharply. Kurapika's scarlet eyes burned into her own. "It's not worth the effort."

He quickly dialed a number on his phone and reached a member of the Phantom Troupe. He began speaking, negotiating rather harshly.

Lilah listened in for the most part, keeping herself in check as much as she possibly could. Her hands were clenched into fists by her lap, breathing slow and steady. She needed to control herself, and fast.

But when she heard him hang up, her first instinct was to ask if Gon and Killua were okay. Kurapika nodded. "They're uninjured, for the time being."

"Let's head to the agreed-upon spot, then."

Leorio turned the corner. "We'd better make this quick."
