"Principal Weems?" My knees got weaker when I saw Larissa's reaction. I stepped back that quick while she is looking at us. I saw how she stared at me down to my necklace that she gave. I can't read her, I don't know what's running on her mind. Just one thing for sure...she saw that kiss. She surely did. "He was harassing me!" I bellowed while pointing at Gregory.
"No, I didn't! We were just playing around, right, Aya?" I glanced at him, he's pleading through his eyes. Tears start to shred down my cheeks when I suddenly realized what he did. He's my only friend in our school for Pete's sake. I trusted him so bad...even his mother.
I shook my head, "N-No, Principal Weems! That's not true! Believe me, I swear! I'm not lying..." I looked at Larissa eye to eye.
"Principal Weems, I'm n-not lying. I would never lie with such reasons!" my voice rose and I started to panic more.
"Aya, I would never do that to you!" He starts grabbing my hand. "Please, listen to me. Can I talk to her privately?"
"Don't touch her." Larissa said in a calm way.
"I'm just talking to her..." His sweats are all on
his face, "Aya, please...We're bestfriends...""No..." There's no denying, I'm in so much pain knowing that he would do something like that. He's right, we were bestfriends. He treats me so well and I fully welcomed him in our family. My Uncle and his mother are peers; it's just too much to swallow.
He grabbed my arm tightly, "Aya!"
"I said get off her!" Larissa pushed him away causing him to fall on the ground. We both look at each other, she was also shocked with her sudden approach with Gregory.
"Larissa..." I murmured as I look at her with widened eyes. She was so strong! She just used one her hand to push him away and it's pretty obvious that she did not do it on purpose. "Greg..." I also called in silence when I realized that he was hurt.
He slowly stood up.
"I'm informing your mother."
"N-No! Principal Weems, please don't. Do everything, expel me! Just don't tell her about this, I'm begging you...." Tears also bawled out of his eyes.
"Let's go." She told me before walking but I wasn't able to bring back my senses so she stopped and faced me, "Aya, let's go." This time, she gently held my hand and then she dragged me out of that place. We reached the parking and then I felt that she starts pinching my hand that she is holding.
"Why?" I asked in a whisper manner.
"What why?"
"Why are you pinching my hand?"
"You're shaking. I'm trying to make you calm." she said seriously while opening the car door for me. "I'll take you home. Let's go home."
