[aliyah's pov]
I packed the last object that I'll be needing before leaving. I went infront of the mirror before anything else, I noticed that there is a zit under my lip and I groaned looking at it so I placed a pimple patch to lessen its nasty feeling. I carried my bag as I went outside my room. The new aroma got my attention, it's just pretty obvious that Larissa is not around because her scent is literally invisible since yesterday. It irritates me deep within because I told myself last night that I wanted a break and I want to stop thinking about her even just for a day. I have this pain in my heart that makes me go crazy mad at her and I cannot blame myself because I didn't do something wrong.
"Dearest, where are you going?" I was caught off guard when I saw Abby on the staircase.
"Morning, Ms. Abby. I'll be traveling today in Jericho. Will be visiting my Uncle Chow." I answered as I went near her.
"Then how will you go there?" she adds to the queries.
"I've actually searched for bus stations that travels to Jericho and it will take 3 hours so I'm leaving early so I could go back tonight."
"Oh, great. Let me drive you." she smiled gracefully.
My eyes widened upon hearing what she said.
"That won't be necessary." I told her as I force a smile.
"The travel would cost how many bucks. While riding with me would cost you only a cup of coffee. Besides, my cabriolet is full tank and I have canvas in the car." she exclaimed.
"W-Wait, really?" I asked unbelievably.
"Yes. Let's go?"
"Okay!" I said excitingly.
At first, I find Miss Abby as an awkward person since our first meet wasn't really that good. I would really want to travel alone to have my me time but her offers are a bomb and it makes me feel so enthusiastic. We both walked excitingly towards her car. My jaw dropped seeing her wheels, it's so cool!
"Wow, this is amazingly done..." I complimented which made her expression proud.
"Hop in" she said and I quickly did.
"Let's go to my fave cafe first so we could get coffee before traveling!"
"I'd love that!" she said before starting the engine.
I told her to drive us in Bri's Brews so I could get coffee for the both of us before going in the main road. I can see in my peripheral vision that she was observing the cafeteria quite too much. I didn't mind, I also did during my first time going in here.
"Hi, Ely! Good morning!" I greeted cheerfully as soon as I saw her, "I'm excited to say this but....the usual and for two!"
That made her clap her hands in enjoyment, "Proud of you, bff! Proud of you!" she said proudly. "Coming right up!" she said before leaving the counter.
"Take out, please!"
I went to Miss Abby who was focused on looking at an artwork behind the cafe door. I also appreciated the artwork since it's my first time seeing it this close.
