Sean's point of view.
I haven't seen any of my brothers in a while now. Once we promised we would never let anyone or anything break us apart.
We were never expecting a shy and little girl to appear into our lives But she is not shy and little anymore, thought . It's been two years, and yet, it feels like forever. How can someone grow up in such a little time? But that's always been Sang anyway. Surprising. Wonderful.
She might not be here, but I see her everywhere. In my dreams, sitting in the kitchen smiling at me, in my bed.
We were so close.
So close
But then? Our jelousy got the best of us. We let her down twice . And I'm not sure how life without Pookie might be in the future.
I'm not sure if I like it.
I'm sure I won't.
The phone rings. It's not the hospital, I know; I spent more hours there than even, than anyone, so my boss orderer me to take a two days break.
So I'm here.
And the phone keeps ringing.
I stand up and check if it's one of the guys. It's not likely, though, because as me, they've been hiding. The worst? Owen tells them nothing.
We're done trying.
The unknown number in my phone hasn't. Who the hell is it?
Tired, I pick up.
"This is Dr. Green".
"Dr. Green?" It costs me to indentify the voice at the beginning, but then it clicks. Sang's father "Is Leight Anne still there? I'm sorry I got your number without you knowing".
"No worries. I'm sorry. Who's Leight Anne?"
He pauses.
"Hasn't she told you?"
"Mr. Novak, I think I'm not following".
"I'm talking about Sang. It's been hours since she left home".
"She left? What? Is there something wrong?".
"Oh, no. She left just to meet with you, but that was hours a go ans she's not answering her phone... Wait, she's not with you?"
She did? Hope grows in me, getting me out of the shadows.
"No with me. Maybe she's with one of the boys? Who's Leight Anne, by the way?"
"Sang has to explain you. Will you tell her she has a phone to answer calls? That girl".
"Of course. Thanks for calling".
"No, thank you" .
When I hang up, I call Owen. It takes a little while before he answers, which is not like that at all.
"Sean?"
Since when does he call me Sean?
"Is Sang with you? Why didn't you call me?"
"... What are you talking about? She's not with me. Why would you ask that?"
"Mr. Novak said she came to meet us... But if she's not with me and not with you... Is she with the guys and they didn't bother in telling us?"
Before he answers, there is a pause.
"No. No, they wouldn't have done that. How long do you say she's been gone?"
I know what he's saying. And I don't like it.
No, the times when she got herself in Trouble are over now. It finished when we got rid of Volto. This can be...
But as Gabriel says, Trouble will always be Trouble.
Sang.
"Thomas said a couple of hours" It feels like I can't nake the words get out my mouth.
"I'll call the guys and ask. I'll be at your house in ten minutes".
With something I don't like in my stomach, I call all of the guys at once. While it rings, I feel like I might vomit.
"Yeah?"
"Doctor Green?"
All of their voices fill my empty and sad apartament. Except North's. That's the other problem we have and we don't know how to fix.
"Where are you?" I ask them.
"North and I are helping Uncle at the diner".
"I'm home with Gabriel" Says Victor .
"None of you have heard of Sang?"
"No. I don't think we'll ever do" Silas' tone is dark and sad.
"She never contacted any of you?"
"What? No. Why are you asking these things? Trouble hates us".
And then, North speaks.
"Is everything okay with Sang Baby?"
We keep quiet. I sight, thanking heaven. I was worried sick.
"We don't think so. Thomas called and said she came to meet us hours a go and she hasn't come back. Nobody knows where she is".
For a small amount of time, there is silence. Then it bursts.
It won't take long before there is a sign with her face and, with red big letters, Missing.
Gone.
An hour later, we're all at the Novak's house. Jonathan, who was gone for a mission comes as fast as he can through the door followed by his team. He had to drop the mission, but there is nothing more important than his missing sister.
"Where is she?"
None of us can answer to that.
Victor, thought, can track the car she took. Whatever that happens, I hope my Pookie is alright.
God, let her be alright.
Owen is shouting orders on the phone, Luke is in the bathroom puking and I am checking on Mrs. Novak, who had a panic attack earlier. The rest? They hold on. They try to help, they ask for favors, they shout and scream and lose their calm every once in a while. We survive.
Jonathan has been keeping up with us lately, telling us how she is, if she's happy or sad or mad or tired. It's the way we lived: by little pieces of her. And we were grateful we had that, but Jonathan waa still the guy we didn't like. Everything was so good before him and his team.
But now, we are two teams joining for a commun goal. Getting Sang back. But not just that, but a family. We're coming together. And after this day, I sense things won't be the same. I thank god for this evolution in us, in our relationship with her family. It let us be better. Better for her.
Now? We have to get her back and show her this love it's still worth it, even when we can't look at each other's eyes, when it's to hard, when we don't like each other.
Then I'm spanking my Pookie for scaring me like that.
Thanks the universe it's friday. (I MADE IT! :D )
